Wight's Home & Garden

I have been shopping at Wight's for years, ever since my mother first took me there to pick out something special for myself when I was a little girl. Over the years it has continuously evolved and always for the better. I am suprised by the people who have not heard of this store or who think that it is only a nursery. This has been my go-to store for home decorating during Christmas and it is where I find most of my every day decor. I have not been able to find another store in the area that has this much taste and variety. It is simply a must see! more

We purchased a Yew Tree with a recent Groupon and when we got home and looked it up we realized it's one of the most poisonous plants known to man. None of the labels or instructions stated this. We have a 2 year old so it wasn't going to work. When we returned it 4 days later the person had an attitude like you should have known better, no apologies, etc... Their prices are a bit higher than the bigger chains and I'm ok with this as long as we get great service. All other times we've been here it's been good service. more

It's been a little while since I have been in Wight's but it has always been a favorite of mine ever since my Grandmother took me there for the first time as a little girl. It is arranged in a circular pattern and might appear a little bit crowded although I don't feel that it really is once you start shopping. They have a complete nursery with many interesting garden accents as well as plants to fill them. They have many fun, collectible type gifts as well as cards and wrapping for them. A full florist shop is available as well as decorating services. Each year at Christmas time, Wight's becomes a fantasy of ornate Christmas trees decorated in every conceivable fashion. I always love to take my children to see the trees then. Wight's is a a great place for gifts, for the gardener or just to snoop around. more

Wight's puts on their "Winter Wonderland" at Christmas and it's a family tradition to stop in and buy a new piece of our Christmas Village. They also have lots of trees done up in themes and sell the ornaments off the trees. In the summer, they have beautiful (though not inexpensive) plants and gardening supplies to purchase. more

Wight's is a really fun place to visit and shop - especially around Christmas time, when they have a spectacular display of decorated trees and tons upon tons of unique and fun ornaments for sale. My kids all know that this is a "no touching" store, as there are lots of breakables here. The staff is extremely knowledgable and friendly, especially in the garden area. more
