I am surprised that I do not hear more about the Wichita Art Museum. It is a really classy place. Even if you are not a big art fan, it is still fun to go and look around, as you are sure to find something that interests you. In addition to having some really nice pieces, the restaurant is very good. Various groups regularly hold some nice functions there, so if you are looking for a nice place to hold a function or business meeting, it would be a great option. The food at the restaurant is excellent. more

I have visited the Wichita Art Museum a few times over the past year and am amazed at how much more I discover each time. While traveling exhibits are housed in the museum, there is also a lot of stationary pieces that stay. I highly recommend taking advantage of the children’s play area no matter what age you are. more

Got Art 8/13/2005

If you are looking for something fun to do with your significant other or some friends this is a great idea. I've only been there once but it was a great experience. You will be very impressed with all of the things they have. It is hard to put into words who amazing some of the paintings and scultures are. You will just need to go and see for yourself. :) more

A taste of culture 8/5/2005

The downtown Wichita Art Museum is a true treasure for the city of Wichita. Again, thanks to the Koch family, the museum has received recent rennovations and showcases much of the Koch's artwork. It is truly amazing that a city like Wichita can actually support a museum of this calliber. It recently received a Dale Chihuly glass sculpture -- which is worth the visit in itself. I usually go to the museum once a year, but recently it seems like more often. It is truly amazing. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something to do on a rainy afternoon. more
