Whole foods carries a lot of high vibrational foods. Its a great store overall and you'll find a ton of delicious and nutrituous specialty items and things other places dont stock. This particular whole foods is one of the better ones in Chicagoland. It is very big and has huge ceilings. You have to learn how to shop here to get good value. If money is no object, then this is the grocery store for you. You will find the finest items around, especially in all the non-produce items. In buying food to eat, the soups, pizza, sushi are all very good. The stuff from hot bar is also good, but I swear they're doing something to make it heavier. I've never seen a spoonful of food be so heavy in terms of weight. And its 6.99lb. So while it is delicious, you can easily overspend here. Forgetting all the stuff about price, they are doing the right thing in terms of organic and using fresh ingredients for their food. You taste the difference immediately and it is dramatic. This is a wonderful food store. If you are looking for healthy organic, fresh foods, this is the place to go. The prices are very high, but the quality of the foods is exceptional. The fresh fruits and vegetables are just gorgeous, right out of a picture. If you have the money and want to eat the best and healthiest food, this is the store for you. more

Whole Foods grocery stores, in my opinion, are overpriced by nature. If you're willing to shop for organic/specialty produce, you're going to pay more. With that in mind, this Whole Foods has an impressive produce selection and surprisingly competitive prices on many items. Be sure to check out their wine and beer selection while you're there. There is a sizable parking lot, and they give you sturdy bags for hauling that tofu and organic lettuce home. more
