A mixed bag! 5/31/2006

I like the Whole Foods in Annapolis because it is in a convenient location and they have a wide variety of natural foods, including a good selection of prepared foods that you can buy for an easy lunch or dinner. However, I do not like how small the store feels. The aisles are very tight, and I always feel like there is not quite enough room. I also do not like the produce section very much. There is quite a bit of conventional produce mixed in with the organic, and it can be overwhelming trying to find what you need. Personally, I feel that a produce section in a natural foods store should be entirely organic. Their organic produce prices are also very steep. As an example, bananas were $1 a pound the other day, when I can get them at other natural foods stores for .69, or even at Giant for .79! As for the rest of the store, the packaged goods are often cheaper than other local stores. So, it's really a little of good and a little of the bad. more
