The staff here is very kind to my puppies! They're all knowledgeable and give detailed instructions. If I have questions, they always answer right away. They work hard to provide the best care for all their patients! more

Wonderful Staff and Care!!! 4/6/2011

I loved the entire staff at whittaker road. They were very busy when we were there but made time to speak to us and make us welcome. I cannot believe the bad reviews. It must just be people who expect things but dont quite understand how busy and difficult their jobs can be. I would deffinetly recommend this clinic to anyone. Prices are a little hight but if you love your pet isnt the money worth it? Cheaper is not always better!!!! The receptionist in the front desk was very sweet to me during this timeand the doctor was wonderful. Thank you for you kindness and understanding!!! I look forward to coming here for many years: ) more

Friendly 1/7/2011

Just started going to this clinic. Was ignored by the receptionist's for awhile while they had conversations. Wasn't comfortable with them. Once in the room was pleased with the treatment that Dr. Coll gave. She was very informative and answered all my questions being i'm a new pet owner. Very friendly. The technician Suzanne was very helpful with my questions and very loving towards cocoa. Kinda pricey but I would recommend to other people. more

Emergency care on my Lucy 11/15/2010

My little Lucy had an extream reaction to flea medication. I was very new to the area, only had seen this one vet a few times. I took Lucy in for the reaction was eating her skin away...I did not have an apointment or any thing...they took my lucy right in and helped her...the vet was awesome...she told me what I should do for her...what I should do about the bad flea medication...that vet took so much time to help me. I couldn't belive the care and sencitivity she gave to me and my pet....thank you so much... more

Done with this place! 8/7/2009

Just returned from an annual exam, heartworm test and shots for my dog. They gave him an extra vaccine (bordetella) that I did not want because I am on limited finances. When she gave me the total I could not believe the amount! I asked her to tell me the cost and everything he was given and when I said I didn't want the bordetella because we don't kennel him she went and checked with the vet tech who said I confirmed all shots and agreed to them. I DID NOT! I asked her if there was anything they could do and she said no because it was already administered and obviously she didn't care whatsoever. I had to take off the heartworm medicine so that the total was not so outrageous and it was still $30 more than what I was told on the phone! Unfortunately I still have to go back because the fecal sample is a pre-pay and of course they already charged me. It's a good thing I am moving away because I never want anything to do with this vet again! They don't care, they just want your money! D more

Good people and good clinic 1/16/2009

We have been with the clinic for three years and have found the staff professional, caring, and gentle with our animals. They know us and our animals and treat them well, talking to them, petting them, and loving them. We have always been given options for treatment and the costs explained upfront. They are priced the same as most other clinics in the area. \r \r Our interactions with Dr. Contreras have been great. He explained everything to us, allowed time for questions, and showed compassion for our animals. \r \r The building is not stellar, but I have always found it clean and maintained. \r \r I highly recommend the clinic. more

Pros and cons 7/18/2008

I switched to Whittaker Road Animal clinic after taking my dog to a high-quality, but high-priced vet on the other side of Ann Arbor. Whittaker Road is 5 minutes from my home now so it was the natural choice for a new vet. I found it's not much cheaper than my previous vet when everything was totaled up. The receptionists weren't real friendly, and didn't make me feel very welcome when I first walked in. The vet tech was nice though, and I was very impressed with Dr. Contreras. He was friendly, caring, and left room for me to ask any questions say it was "My time to get anything out there that I need to." Like I said, it cost quite a bit more than I expected and was told over the phone, however, it's close by and I'll likely go back. It's difficult to find a good, but low-cost vet around. more

Unsure 3/31/2008

I took my puppy to this clinic a few times, and was very uneasy about the care we received. Although the staff and the vet seemed like loving people, I was always charged more than what they told me it was going to cost. They ran a test on my puppy and told me that his condition was going to get worse, and that we needed to think about putting him in their hospital. (Which was very pricey.) When we got a second opinion, we were told that our puppy just needed to continue his treatments. Three days later our puppy was just fine. This clinic has it pros and cons, but I will not be going back. more

We Are Happy 3/4/2008

My husband and I have been bringing our dog to this clinic for nearly four years now. Everyone is cheerful and kind. They love our dog and it shows. Also, I find that I can buy pet meds at less cost than at the store or online. more
