Our 7 year old spent the night at my mother-in-law?s house last night. At 7:30 this morning (Sunday) she called, saying he had been crying during the night, complaining of ear pain. At 9am (did I mention it is Sunday!?) Nurse Practitioner V_____ was at our door. She took her time, asked a lot of questions, and walked me through the process of diagnosing him with both and inner and outer ear infections. She treated him with kindness and respect, making my ?scared-to-death-of-doctors? child comfortable and relaxed. Best of all, she prescribed meds and had them with her, meaning I don't have to run to the pharmacy!
