If you are going to ask for a review then ask me - I have been sending my kids to WMCC for over 14 years. I love Betty, I see her almost everynight when I pick up my kids and really enjoy our conversations. My 16 year old went there till he was 12. My now 5 and 3 year olds have been there since infant. I have read the reviews on here and am confused b/c I've been going there for 14 years and they are completely wrong, If you want to ask someone - ask me. I am very happy and have always been happy with WMCC. I have always liked all her staff. From what I see, she treats her staff well except when they do something they shouldn't. I'd say that's normal expecially when you are dealing with taking care of other peoples kids. more

HORRIBLE CENTER 8/11/2011

I have had two daughters that have worked here and my oldest said this has totally changed the way she feels about day care centers and she hopes she never has to have her child attend one and would never, ever recommend this center. The things that goes on after the parents leave is horrible, they have just the right coverage when the parents pickup and drop off their children and when all is clear they send the staff home to come back later when it is time for pick up, there is a set schedule to change the childrens diapers and if they need to be changed before the scheduled time, it doesn't happen. They have even witnessed and was told to strap some children in their seats for a long period of time. more

Great Center 10/1/2010

I'd like to say that the person below me is completely wrong about what they said. I used to work at WMCC and I loved it! I enjoyed working with the children. Ms. Betty cares about those children more than herself. Ms. Betty does not treat her employees like trash, if she isn't happy with the way she does their job, then she will come to you and talk to you about it. Although I do not work there anymore I still would recommend taking your child to this center. Your child always comes first and Ms. Betty does so much for all of those kids! She truley loves and cares about them. more

My 2.5 year old has been attending the center on Winding Way since she was 6-months old. Over the past two-years I've been happy with the center, it's staff, and it's owner. more

Horrible Center 2/1/2010

I also used to work at White Marsh Child Care. They are extremely understaffed and the staff they do have are practically teenagers. With every child comes $$ so the management will cram as many kids as they can in a small classroom as possible even if it way over the legal ratio. The facilities are constantly broken and the center provides very few learning materials. I can certainly agree with everything the first review said. I do believe the teachers and assistants care strongly about the well being of a the children. However, the management..not so much. If I were a parent, I would look into a Kindercare or a larger child care center. Pros: Poor Facilities, Overcrowded, Poor Management Cons: Caring Teachers more

As someone who used to work there, I can pretty much say what you have seen, the negatives, are all true. Staff is short handed, and usually way over ratio. I don't want to give too many details, bc of fear of backlash by the owner... but there was a time where i was a senior staff (also known as a teacher) and I had QUADRUPLE the allowed ratio by myself. Whenever the Child care administration would come, there would be a mad scramble by the director to make sure there were assistants where there should be, etc. One time, I was moved into two rooms while the inspection was going on, WITH A DIFFERENT NAME TAG. Pros: Loving teachers, assistants Cons: Everything else more

You get what you paid for. All teachers/helpers are very very young college, some are high school kids. So it is cheaper than other centers. more

What a joke, more like a teenage hangout! 9/11/2008

The daycare center on East Joppa road is a joke! There is nothing but young if not teenage staff running this place. The director named Carol is unfriendly and I can only imagine how she is behind closed doors. Jen is the assistant director and is clearly a joke. She does nothing with the kids and is always out of her room. Personally I feel safer leaving my child at Walmart with all the adult supervision there verses this place. Many other parents feel the same way, no wonder it's the cheapest center around the area! You get what you pay for, nothing. Pros: Parking right in front of building Cons: Playground built on parking lot, NO GRASS more
