Not a bad concert venue 12/26/2005

When it comes to club shows, The Troubadour is still is tops in my book. They attract better acts especially up-and-coming bands and artists, and it has a more welcoming vibe. Whisky A Go Go isn't a bad place to see a show, but I don't really like the Sunset Strip vibe. It's not as bad as Viper Room, but I still prefer the Troubadour. The stage is a bit high so if you're up front, you'll probably have to look directly up. I usually park at a $5 lot nearby so parking hasn't really been an issue for me. more

I love this place! 12/7/2005

The atmoshpere here is fun and energetic. This huge building is home to great music and big crowds. The first floor is for dancing and the second floor has a better view but it's where the music system is so you'll hearing the music as you sit there then hear nothing else for a few days. There are two bars and the bar on the second story has faster service. Everything is served in plastic cups and it's not the best place for fancy drinks. But the history of the club is legendary. Jim Morrison wrote lyrics in the bathroom and every other band in the world has played here. Parking is hard to find on the street but you can pay a small price to pay in the club's parking lot. It's a great place to rock and dance late into the night. more
