Whirly Ball

Want to get back at your friends? Have them come to Whirly Ball with you. Once they get strapped in to that go cart they will understand what you mean by stop eating all of my chips, John! They put a whiffle ball out and it is your job to get it across the court and hit as many other people as you can in the process. As long as you can take a beating as well as dish one out then this place is a lot of fun. more

This game is not for the weak of heart. Get an image in your head of people coming flying at you from all directions, slamming into you and getting way too much gratification out of throwing a whiffle ball. If this sounds good, then strap yourself into a bumper car and get ready to play. This is a great way to cut loose for a little while and get back at that friend who made fun of your hair last week. more

Imagine riding around in bumper cars with bizarre steering mechanism, ramming your friends, and trying to get them to drop a wiffle ball so you can grab it with you lacrosse stick and try to manuever to the other end of a basketball court to score a goal, while you opponents are trying to crash into you so hard that your glasses fly off of your face. Pure fantasy? Not so. Whirly Ball is incredibly fun. It also happens at a bar. I was too broke to buy drinks when I went to play Whirley Ball. The bar seemed to be a sports bar type place, with video games, and drinks that are either a little too expensive or a little too small. When I went, a year ago, Whirly Ball cost $10 per person for 20 minutes, which sounds like a lot. I found 20 minutes very gratifying, though, and when you compare the prices to laser tag, or Battle Tech, or something like that, it's fairly reasonable. more

Whirly ball-you sit in a bumper car, and try to put a whiffle ball in a basketball hoop. Its really fun!! Just don't leave your car keys in your pocket-I did and the seatbelt would push them into my leg every time I got bumped-OUCH! This is an activity where you go with a bunch of your friends or people from work and rent the game area for an hour or so. more
