My husband works on the canal and for the 4th of July they have a canal fest and we loved getting taking our girls for a paddle boat ride.... it's a great way to see a beautiful ...

Something different for tourists 9/6/2005

We don't do the paddle boats. But we're local and prefer to walk the length of the canal. But I can see where out of towners might get a kick out of it. It's 20-25 bucks depending on number of people on the boat, which to me seems steep for an hour on a boat that is pretty limited on where it can go. But they are busy in good weather, so apparently the tourists dig it. more

ALOT of fun 8/5/2005

My husband works on the canal and for the 4th of July they have a canal fest and we loved getting taking our girls for a paddle boat ride.... it's a great way to see a beautiful area of downtown and it's really not that hard to operate - even with 2 smaller kids.. more

Paddle Boats on the Canal 8/4/2005

What a fun thing to do! Wheel fun offers paddle boat rentals on the canal in downtown Indy. They have two and four-person boats. Rental for an hour is $20 for a two person and $25 for a four person. It's really nice at night. This is a fun way to enjoy downtown. more
