As a more mature person, I love the way ELLE makes me not look my age! Her fashion colour experience and knowledge has become an art. In the far past I had to suffer the poor talent of other stylists. But since I have been ELLE's client, I have great confidence that she will choose what makes me look the best. At Sola Salons, she has created an atmosphere in which you will relax and enjoy. Pros: Awesome experience and I love the Chandelier and art work!! more

Elle had cut my hair once before and it was too short, but it grew out great. When I went back I told her I wanted to keep it long. She gave me a mullet. I am NOT exaggerating. My friends, the people I work with and my boyfriend all agreed she gave me a mullet. I had never gotten a bad haircut before I went to Elle. I had to put my hair up in a ponytail for two months until I could cut the bottom layer to my hair look somewhat normal. I wish I could put a photo up here to show you the horrible hair cut. Not only did she destroy my hair, but she would not take my credit card and wanted cash. I had paid with a credit card before so I know they take credit cards. I did not have cash with me, so she insisted I go to chase to pull money out. I did, but was charged a fee because that was not my bank. Unfortunately, Elle still has not learned how to cut hair. My friend that brought me there still goes to her and last time she got a mullet hair cut and an uneven red stripe in the front of her hair. \r I would give What the Elle negative four stars if I could. If you want a horrible haircut, bad customer service and inappropriate conversation this is the place for you.\r Pros: nothing Cons: I had to put my hair up in a ponytail for two months more

I've been going to Elle since 2001 (minus the brief period that I lived in Ohio) and I have to say that she is the best! I love every style she has given me and always feel great when I walk out of the salon! Elle and Uma make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in the door...My husband(who used to get his hair cut by someone he referred to as ""a female edward scissorhands"") has gone to Uma and loves WHAT THE ELLE as much as I do! I was soooo lucky to find Uma last August! I had been to several so called ""up-scale"" and ""highly recommended"" salons in Indy and I was not pleased with the service or the attitudes of the stylists. Sure, my color was ok, but I always felt like I never got what I really wanted. That all changed when I found Uma! Uma listens and I mean really listens to how you want your hair to look. I color my hair blue-ish black (I know that sounds weird, but it makes the black look super shiny...soooo not goth, I promise..lol) and the color that Uma gave me is so rich and shiny! Not to mention that the cut and style are wonderful too! My hair has never felt so good or been this healthy in years. Uma and Elle make you feel welcome the minute you walk in and the salon experience is wonderfully relaxed and personal. I cannot recommend this salon enough. I am a guy with some what short hair. I always just got it cut at the cheapest place I could and always had to guide them though cutting my difficult hair. (I have a lot of calices) At the prompting of a friend I broke down and decided to pay for a ?good cut.? I saw Elle, she is great! Fun up beat attitude and knows what she is doing. I described what I wanted and the normal pit falls others have fell into when cutting my hair. She understood and added a few suggestions that I had not thought about. She began to give me the cut and we had such a good time talking and laughing that I was done before I knew it. IT LOOKED GREAT! I have never had a cut come out looking so good and I have never ever had such an easy time doing my hair after. It seems to want to fall in place instead of fighting with it like I normally have to do. \r At the office the next day everyone was going on about how great it looked.
