Leadership Dr Whalen has been a leader in the chiropractic profession for more than 20 years on both the local, state and national level, including: Chair, Council on Chiropractic Guidelines and Practice Parameters (2005-06) (the national organization developing chiropractic "Best Practices") President, California Chiropractic Association (1999-2000) President, San Diego County Chiropractic Society (1993-94) Honors and Awards Student of the Year, New Doctor of the Year, and Doctor of the Year, California Chiropractic Association Professional Expertise Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist Fellow, Academy of Forensic & Industrial Chiropractic Consultants Past Chair, CCA Workers’ Compensation Committee Past Department Chair, CCA Insurance and Industrial Relations Testified on multiple occasions before the California Legislature and multiple regulatory bodies Expert witness, multiple civil cases 30+ years of patient care experience Teaching Experience Dr Whalen has extensive experience teaching other doctors, including MD’s and DC’s.
