I saw Dr. Jeffers for an issue with my GI and was recommended to get an endoscopy; during the procedure, she took several biopsies and sent them to a lab for testing. Okay, that was fine and okay. Turns out, I was still having problems and they had no idea what to do but to prescribe me prevacid. That's fine...what makes me give them such a low rating is that when I returned for my follow up appointment after the procedure, I waited in a recovery room (with a curtain and not a door) for over 45 minutes. Because there was no door I could hear the nurse tell them ""someone was waiting in the room"" (MY room)...they forgot about me. I heard the Doctor say ""what is she here for?"" And because I could hear everything they said, I responded behind the curtain,""a follow up."" I thought after they realized I was here, that we would go to a closed (with an actual door) room where we would talk about my bodily functions. No. I was told that it was a ""temporary and permanent"" situation. I said that I could hear every patient talking about their personal issues as well as the nurses and the doctor and that it made me uncomfortable. This appointment was in May 2011. So keep that in mind if you decide to see them; most likely, you will be sitting behind a curtained section of a room and not an actual office. Complete invasion of privacy and I am looking into the correct authority to report this to.
