I have been taking my animals to Dr. Hoover and Dr. Broussard for 9 years and would never consider taking them anywhere else. The care that we get is very caring and considerate and starts with Priscilla at the front desk and continues throughout their care. The doctors are excellent clinicians and do not hesitate to consult with other vets and NCSU Vet school. They always go the extra mile for me and my animals. The best compliment that I can give them is that my dog gets very excited and cannot wait to get in to see her friends whenever we go. They are the best and you cannot go wrong taking your animals there. more

I honestly just picked this office based on location, but I was really happy with the care my dogs received here. You can go in and meet the staff and vet first before bringing your animal in. They have a great website with links to training and food recall info among other things. Dr. Hoover was wonderful with both of my puppies. They never knew they got a shot. Excellent exam technique and the staff is wonderful as well. You can tell they love their jobs and enjoy working with animals. I will definitely continue to take my dogs here for care. I've been to a couple different vets in my hometown and after relocating here, I chose Westside based on location and what I'd heard...What I heard was right! They're definitely the best of any vet I've been to. They are friendly, knowledgeable, professional...the exam room was comfortable, brightly lit and clean, my puppy got an impressively thorough and complete physical exam, the staff received me and my puppy so warmly and treated him like their own! The appointment did not feel rushed or cookie cutter, Dr. Hoover took the time to talk with me about my puppy, my breed and really made me feel comfortable to go back/call them any time I have troubles. *Highly recommended!* Dr. Hoover and Dr. Smith are terrific! For basic services (routine checkups etc), the office is very friendly and is accomodating with appointments. (E.g., they saw a stray cat for us the same day we called.) For more serious stuff both Drs. are up to the latest in vet. treatment and keep up with the field. For our cat with CRF (renal failure), they provided top-notch care & sustained the life of our dear cat much longer than we expected. The Drs. have good 'bedside manner' and are warm and supportive, not pressuring you when hard choices must be made. Thank you Drs. Hoover & Smith.
