This review pertains to contact with one office person who worked the counter the day of my mother's funeral. No other personnel were available at the time.\r
\r
While attending the funeral of my mother approximate 45 days ago, the person at the front desk (Montrose Cemetery location) demanded a payment of $2,200 by my sister or I without any explanation; the clerk refused to provide any documentation with reason none existed. \r
\r
After a ""heated"" discussion with the clerk, in order to move forward with the funeral (which was to begin in 25 minutes), I charged the $2,200 to am credit card and requested an invoice or itemized statement be sent to me. I asked the clerk whether she had my contact information, and she told me they did not need it. \r
\r
I then asked how the facility would send me the documentation, at which point the clerk realized she needed to go through the motions of recording my name and address in the computer. When I asked to verify the information by looking at her computer screen, she refused to grant permission. As of June 21, 2008, I have not yet received the requested documentation, other than a charge slip for the payment made.
Pros: Only facility in the area; other deceased family members located there
Cons: Failure of personnel to provide billing documentation
