The actual moving team was lovely but their office manager, Tim is atrocious at best. Completely lacks any customer service skills and if you have a problem (which I did) he borders on completely unresponsive. It has taken me over 60 days to resolve 2 relatively small problems and they still aren't resolved. I have had to consistently follow up and still am waiting on resolution. And to boot, Tim hung up on me today. Hope for the best if they move you, because if you have a problem, it is a battle to resolve it thanks to their office manager! more

We have used Westlake for 4 moves and referred relatives for a fifth move. Every time they have been exceptional!They are always on time, effecient, friendly, and very professional. The last move involved a very large,heavy item that was moved with ease.They worked longer than anticipated (my fault) and never complained. Brian was especially helpful. It is very hard to turn over your ""material"" part of life to someone. These guys put your mind at ease that everything is safe and protected.\r I have made many moves but Westlake consistantly is the best.\r Thanks guys! more

We've used Westlake twice now, most recently in early October 2010. Difficult move from a large 2-story to a small one story, about a million boxes and tons of furniture. I'm sure the quantity of stuff exceeded the estimate. It actually took them 2 trips with their largest truck. Despite all that, the 3 guys that showed up (not only on time, but early!) were professional, amiable, and unbelievably efficient. No problems whatsoever with these guys, would use them again in a heartbeat. Although it rarely happened, if they accidentally brushed a wall with a piece of furniture or some part of something fell off, they told me about it right away even though there was no damage done. Very responsible. We had a ton of kids and a small dog underfoot for much of the time, and they were always patient and kind. We've got friends who flip houses and move all the time, and they couldn't believe the quality of our experience with Westlake Moving. more

We recently made a local move and used Westlake Movers and they did a good job. We had an in person quote done, and the representative completing the quote was accurate, professional, and courteous. The movers showed up as scheduled and worked hard in difficult conditions (rained all day). The movers initially refused to move some heavy specialty items in the quote, but after calling in to the office another mover arrived and the items were moved with no extra charge. Every mover was courteous and respectful of our new home. A few items were damaged and they were repaired for us satisfactorily. I would definitely use again. more

I needed a company that could load my funiture into storage containers, store my furniture, unload containers at the new house & situate my furniture within my new home where needed. This is exactly what Westlake Moving did! The whole transition went smoothly; my wife and I very pleased with their service! The communication was great, movers were courtious, professional & pick-up/delivery was on time! I would use Westlake Moving again; we definetly recommend using them for moving and storage! more

Recently just moved locally and I was very happy with the Westlake Movers! The cost was competitive and fair, the quote was on target and the guys who showed up to move me were professional and courteous. They took great care of my furniture and special items and placed things just where I asked them. I've moved quite a bit and I will definitely use them again, along with recommending them to others! Westalke Movers created a huge mess and the owner defended the poor service. Don't believe their website that boasts about their free quote and their relocation ""expertise"". Got a quote in person at my home. We were told how to prep certain furniture (good advice). We were told everything would fit in the trailer we reserved,but it might be tight. This was a cross country move. The ""expert"" wasn't a little off he was totally off base. We could have have filled another 1/4 of the 28 foot trailer we had. We lost thousands of dollars in items we gave away AND had to hire other movers to haul away what we couldn't give away. Incredible time crunch to get these off of the property and hand our keys to our buyer. We asked for reimbursement to hire the second mover the owner refused defended the service. more

I have been using this company for 12 years. They have moved me 5 times to date and I will never use another moving company in Austin. Pros: Cleancut and Friendly Movers - Prompt and on time more

I cannot believe what some folks have to say about Westlake Moving Co. I have used this company for a number of years and I can honestly say that the service was great and the price was fair. Sure there were a couple of dings and scratches on things, but that comes with the territory when moving. They also handled any descrepancies fairly and did all they could to complete service after the sale. Some folks need to be sure and read their liability options. I have moved several times through the years, being former military and all and guess that I have a good idea of how liability options work for moving companies. My advice to all is read your contract. Keep up the good work Westlake Moving and you have me as a customer for life!!!! Pros: always there when i need them more

I hired Westlake Moving to help me move and they never bothered to show up. They were suppose to show up between 12pm and 3pm and never even called. I waited for three hours and kept calling their main number which they did not answer. I had confirmed with them on the day before, so I did not think that it was going to be a problem. When I finally got a hold of someone two days later, they were extremely rude and told me that they tried to call me at 3pm, but that was a lie because my phone did not ring. Luckily for me, I was able to find Two Men a Truck to help me move. They were amazing!!!!! Cons: Didn't bother to show up more

Broke a value marble furniture top and refused to pay for reasonable repair or replacement. Also did not move everything that was contracted for and would not give refund. Promised 4 movers for job but only 3 showed up. If you use these people, GET ANYTHING THAT IS VERBALLY PROMISED TO YOU IN WRITING! Don't let their overly polite ""Yes Ma'am"" or ""Sir"" fool you. And move anything you treasure or hold dear yourself! Movers arrived late, took an extended lunch, and arrived at new home late. Not a great experience. Pros: Move accomplished Cons: Broken valuables, Contr. not fulfilled, No refund offered more
