I tried Francesca's at Sunset after it was reviewed in the local paper, and then I did some research and it compelled me to take the plunge. I was very impressed and the food is very unique 'southern' cuisine. Everything was like nothing I had tried before. We actually had two full-time waiters helping us as well...which I find rarely happens. I've been here once, but it's very close to my house and the Shops at La Cantera, so I have a feeling I will be back soon. I give Francesca's an 11 on a scal of one to ten.   • The Scene
    The restaurant is laid out beautifully, with spaciously separated tables circling a partially closed room for 10. The lighting is so dim that good eyesight is needed to read the wine, dinner and dessert menus. To appreciate the view overlooking one of two golf courses and the hills beyond, arrive before dark.

    The Food
    An a la carte menu, created by celebrity chef Mark Miller, is tasty and spicy. Appetizers include lobster ravioli, with a trifle too many hot pepper slivers. An outstanding tart salad is the warm pomegranate and baby spinach creation, with slender, crunchy onion rings. While most dishes are petite, meat portions are generous, such as the cherry-glazed, twin duck breasts with potato-turnip puree and green beans--tender, and not too sweet. Two popular steaks: filet of beef and buffalo. The three-layer Mexican chocolate Napoleon is light and pleasantly crunchy.
