seriously I've skated on better floors in garages and basements!! I've been skating for 17 years and the floor here has to be the worst- very poorly maintained! The bathroom floors have been flooded both times my family and I came to skate- the staff floor guards were rude, games boring!! I will make the drive to Franklin next time our kids wanna go skating- at least there you can rent speed skates, have the wheels tightened or the smaller children am skate on an even well maintained floor!!! more

On behalf of adults who skate 2/26/2010

It would be a great improvement to have adult-only afternoon hours during the week, without the strobe lights and loud music. Even one weekday would be wonderful. more

Old School 10/15/2005

Western Skateland is an old school skating rink. I guess to me any skating rink is old school these days. It's like a flashback to the seventies or eighties when you go in. They do all of the lights and disco ball stuff and have plenty of junky food at the concession stand. it would be good for a date with someone you already know really well. There is plenty to laugh at. Don't get too drunk though. Gets pretty ugly, pretty quickly. more
