Western Bowl 4/13/2006

Western Bowl is a fun place to go with friends or with your family. It is large and therefore has many lanes available. If you go on a Friday or Saturday night you may have to wait for a lane because it is packed, but the wait usually isn't too bad. My only complaint is that the cloud of smoke is enough to kill on impact. more

Bowling is fun 3/29/2006

I enjoy Western Bowl. Despite being one of the least hygenic spots in town, it's a ton of fun. Try going on one of the galaxy bowling nights. As with any bowling alley, it makes for a fun date; but, plan on you and your significant other smelling like you've smoked a few cartons of cigarettes when you leave. I do think that it is about time for them to purchase new bowling balls. They have had the sames ones for at least 20 years now. more

Not sure which is better here, the bowling, or the Cafe. If you want some good family fun, it's all here. The bowling alley is well maintained, always clean, and inexpensive. The cafe is one of the best kept secrets in Amarillo. Great for dinner before an evening of fun, or a quick stop for a wonderful lunch. Great service, terrific food, fast! more

Older alley 8/21/2005

Western Bowl is one of the oldest Bowling alleys in Amarillo. They have kept the inside pretty nice but there is still that “old bowling ally” feel. They have galaxy bowl where they turn off the lights and play loud music while you bowl to flashing moving neon lights. Over the last few years they have added a newer side. They have a nice snack bar and a full service restaurant. They also have birthday packages and gift certificates. The price is not too bad either. more
