This is a large bowling alley on the west side of town that houses more than 60 lanes. The facility holds the "Hoinke Classic", a bowling tournament that draws competitors from all over the United States. The lanes are usually in excellent shape and house balls of all sizes are readily available. Open bowling is frequently available as well. Drawbacks are the smoky atmosphere and cost (almost $3 per game). It is an impressive venue for bowling, but isn't my family's first choice. more

Bowling on the Westside 8/19/2005

If you’re on the westside, you're us to local, cheap entertainment. Western Bowl fits the profile perfectly. It's cheap, available (especially on the weekends), and close (located on Glenway Ave). You can save some money by hitting up coupons @ Skyline Chili (i think it's buy one, get one free). One warning (like most Bowling Alleys), if you're allergic to smoke, this is not the place to be. You're skin will smell like smoke in the morning. more
