My three kids have been going here for many years, and we are all very happy with it. To those who say it is too expensive- I say you get what you pay for.
The head teachers do not have any other jobs. If what most schools charge was a living wage it would be far more common in all of the other schools too, since I know many other martial arts teachers are just as dedicated, and opening a school is how they support their practice. What is different and great about this school is they have dared to bet on and believe that there are enough students interested in that level of teaching to support it.
These teachers are dedicated to their practice and it shows. Obviously that does mean they aren’t really interested in students who are not very dedicated themselves, in addition to the fact that if you are looking for a low- key activity this may not be worth it to you.
If they were only interested in the money they would not have refused to take my 2 year old for 2-3 years. Both she and I were so excited and begging for them to teach her, but they did not feel she was ready. Every time her older sister went to class she would take her ‘Mulan- stick’ and imitate Mulan’s moves(from the second movie, which was surprisingly good, by the way). But they said she was not ready, so they did not take her until years later.
I am hoping my review will help you give them a chance and check them out for yourself since that is the only way you will see how ridiculous and unfair the bad reviews are.
