Incompetent and inhuman Vet.\r -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\r (Dr.) Govers killed my 10 years old African Grey during a simple procedure of removing a follicle, yes a wing feather follicle. I was heartbroken, I asked him under the circumstances to reduce the surgery bill, he refused. more

Dr Grovers is sooo gentle!! 5/2/2012

Dr Grover has compassion and a very gentle manner (for the dog mostly)!!! I had a pre estimate and the final cost was much lower( hard to believe in these times)..My Bisquit received a full screen panel before his major surgery(crypt orchid testicles) and was fully awake when I picked him up!! I m a 23 yr trimmer and fully endorse the services and staff here.....J Freas more

Tigger's 1st visit to West Valley Pet Clinic 2/20/2011

I took our two year old indoor cat Tigger to the West Valley Pet Clinic on 2/18/11 as he was not feeling well lately. He was not eating and drinking much for a few days so we were concerned, in particular my wife and our two daughters. The clinic we visited was close to our house. It has been around for many years, so I thought it should be reasonable. I called to make an appointment and was told it will be $53 for the exam but could be more depending on what needs to be done. An estimate will be provided before treatment, as I understood. \r They said since I was a new customer, they gave a $10 discount. \r Tigger and I arrived at 9 in the morning and waited for ten minutes or so, then were directed to a room. We waited inside the room for another five minutes or so then a nurse came in. She asked some general questions about Tigger and entered the data to the computer and left. Another five or ten minutes later, the Dr came in.\r She checked Tigger and said she was somewhat dehydrat more

We took our golden retriever puppy here for his first set of shots, and all of the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Everyone is very friendly, and willing to answer questions without any issues. \r I am definitely going back again for his next round of shots. more

West Valley Pet Clinic 5/23/2008

I have taken my dog there for 2 yrs. All three veternarians are very nice and knowledgable. They treated my dog caringly. Their prices are alittle high. I would definitely recommend them. (They also specialize in birds!) more

Competent & affordable care 2/15/2007

My dog swallowed a piece of plastic. Dr. Govers tried to extract it using an endoscope to no avail. I agreed to have the dog operate on to remove the foreign body. The operation was a great success and my dog recovered in no time. The clinic has an outstanding and competent staff, all graduates of UC Davis. They have done a superb job keeping the operation cost affordable without pushing for unnecessary procedures. Without any reservation, I highly recommend this clinic.\r Gene B.\r San Jose more
