West Ny Floris Spa & Nail

I have been going to get my nails done at this place for a long time. I had my hair done with Jose a few times and he was good. This place now has a new hairstylist and I used her once for color and blowout. She did it fine but had a very bad attitude. I tipped her for her hard work. After a few weeks I wanted my hair done again and had a nail as well as hair appt with her. I was there on time, they did my nails first( I told them I wanted to make sure my hair is done). After my nails were done, I went to the hair stylist and she said that since my nails took time, she did not have enough time to do my hair before the next appt. All this while she was working on another person and running late for her. I asked her, was the next appt more important than mine and if you could not manage time, should not give out appt. I had to go out that evening and was mad as they did not tell me earlier that they are not doing my hair. Very rude and unprofessional and well not dependable as well. I talked to manager and she said that hair stylist runs her own business and she cannot do anything. I just think it is bullshit ( my hair is long and the hairstylist was just being herself). Need I say more. more

I have been going to this spa for facials and nails for about a year -- AND I have been seeing Jon, their new stylist for a bit longer so now that he is there, it takes this place over the top! It is like a best kept secret that there is a hair salon since that part of the spa is so tiny but what comes out of there is amazing! Jon does hair like some very expensive Beverly Hills salons but at a faction of the cost -- oh and he has Blow Out Wednesday for $30! Amazing!!! Best thing that ever happened to Floris was to add Jon to their team! more

I have been coloring my hair with Jose for a while now and he is EXCELLENT!! He always gets my hair color just right! My hair is conditioned - never over processed or dry! Jose is also the most sincere and humble hairdresser I have ever met! He's so sweet, kind, very genuine!!! He's honest and will never steer you wrong - he will explain why certain colors will look better on you based on your complexion. I promise you will look chic and stylish when Jose does your hair! I love him!!! more

Been going to different salons in the area, and this one seems to have all the new colors available as soon as they hit the market which is great. Only thing, one manicurist, June is her name, seems to have an attitude if you try someone else when she's busy. Not a good sign of courtesy and customer service. Other than that, Michelle the manager is always accomodatiing. Nice modern spa ambience. Always feeling relaxed when I go there. All the manicurists do a good and equal quality job. Yet to try their wax services. Prices are within range and great to sign onto their complimentary membership and earn points to a free mani. I hear the hair stylist, NOa is, phemomenal, though I haven't tried him yet. Overall, nice salon. Pros: New Colors Available always Cons: Change in Manicurists more
