2 months ago I hired this company to take on the project of completing my tornado damage construction. They tore down the old deck and filled in the old holes with cement. They never show up when they say they will. They have never submitted an activity report stating when they would have the work completed. They have not ordered any lumber or building supplies. They have not submitted proof that any supplies were ordered. They even broke by concrete patio during demolition of the old deck over 2 months ago. However, for the last 30 days they have completed nothing! I have had to call the owner, text the owner and email the owner but no reply. I was being avoided. I had a good friend call him from her phone and she was able to contact him. About 48 hours later, I received an email stating that he wanted more money than he bidded out and per the contract. He was requesting almost double. He now wants the money that was allocated for the completion of the rest of the tornado damage before he will complete the deck. ! I have gone round and round with attempts to get the money back and hire someone else. He has refused. I have received off the wall phone calls with statements requesting my adjuster summary, the name of my insurance company, more money, what you going to do, etc. Prior to signing the final contract, I had to ask for a statement saying he would submit a lien wavier upon completion and he wanted 100% of the funds for the deck. A red flag should have gone up. I contacted legal counsel and discovered that I did not even have a workmanship warranty. I also contacted my insurance company to notify them that I hired a con artist company. I am sure they will seek legal recourse as well. My best words of advice I have received since this has occurred, ""DO YOUR RESEARCH on the company and their work ethics.""
