West End City Apartments

Stay away from this horrible place. I was a resident for three years in the Westmoreland building. While the lobby is nice, the actual apartments are old and falling apart. During my stay, the air conditioner units, kitchen sink, toilet, and bathroom sink ALL broke and it took weeks to get maintenance. The management was running out of money so they had problems getting trash picked up every week and maintenance finished. People were having their cars broken into and getting robbed at night because of lax security! Upon moving out I was presented with a bill to replace the entire carpet in my apartment! These crooks decided to take some minor damage (about 10 square feet) and make me pay for the entire replacement of the carpet. Stay away! more

The West End City are a nice choice if you want the atmosphere of the Central West End but not the prices. The apartments are really close to everything, the CWE (easy walking distance), The Loop, Clayton, Dogtown, and of course, they are right across the street from Forest Park. The apartments are nicely renovated and have the traditional architectural elements but with new amenities. more
