I lived at Wendy Jill Apartments for 3 years, and recently had to move because of an increase in my family size. They tried to evict me shortly after my baby was born, but according to the lease I had until the end of my current lease, so I had to fight that (and won). A majority of maintenance was not done while I lived at Wendy Jill. I was without a garbage disposal for approx 2 years, a bathroom fan & heater for approx 2 1/2 years, and while I was pregnant in the midst of summer, I had no air conditioner for several months. My bedroom doors fell apart and off of their hinges, so we lived without bedroom doors for approx 1 - 1 1/2 years. The floor would stay wet around my toilet, and my toilet would kick on and fill up a bit, and then kick off...repeatedly...so I knew the toilet was leaking although maintenance told me it was not. My front door became hard to lock and unlock with a key because of my door being pressure washed by maintenance, and apparently the lock rusted. They wanted to charge me $25 to replace the lock. There was a multitude of other problems as well, and this review would be miles long by the time I was done. I lived there before and after PPM, LLC took over as management, and nothing really changed I don't believe, especially regarding the maintenance. We were told by the maintenance person that he had turned in the maintenance forms we had filled out, but he could do nothing else until the manager purchased the items needed. They do not have an exterminator to come in and spray as should be done, because it is too expensive. I was told in Feb. 2010 that they would be getting one to come in, but when I moved in October 2010, it never happened. In fact, we were told to fumigate ourselves by the district manager. We made complaints to the district manager as well regarding the maintenance issues, and nothing was every done. There are several other issues, such as certain people that didn't have to follow the rules. When we moved, we left furniture in our apartment, because we were very frustrated at not having our apartment kept up as it should have been. We came back to Wendy Jill to visit friends, and were told we needed to leave. I cannot understand WHY or HOW somebody could be banned for leaving furniture in an apartment. Also, the manager showed very unprofessional behavior that evening as well, and discussed business in front of other tenants and visitors. In the end, I would not recommend Wendy Jill Apartments. I've given my opinion regarding my experience there, but it's up to you to decide...
