I was referred to Dr. Wells by my dentist for a root canal. Beginning with my first phone call to the office to schedule the appointment the experience with the front office staff was great. I was getting ready to go out of town in a few days and the front office staff did their best to schedule me in before my trip to be seen. I have never experienced better customer service in a a dentist office! When I walked into the office for my appointment I was greeted with smiles, signed the electronic form I was able to complete at home and immediately taken back to be seen by Dr. Wells. Dr. Wells was a breath of fresh air! I was so nervous from the moment I walked in due to previous not so good experiences with other dentists. Dr. Wells is a great listener, friendly and patient. He provided details of what he was going to do before he started which meant a lot to me being so nervous about my first root canal. He ensured me that I would not experience pain during the procedure and he was exactly right, I felt no pain at all. During the procedure Cindy and Dr. Wells would make sure that I was ok and comfortable. Great experience, I would highly recommend Dr. Wells to anyone in need of a root canal. more

I was referred to Dr. Wells by my regular dentist for a root canal. He was able to get me in very quickly and addressed the pain I had in short order. I have nothing to say but great things about his practice and his office staff. They are all very professional, caring and personable. This was a very good dental experience for me especially since a root canal was involved. They made sure that I was completely comfortable during the entire visit. I was very impressed with his service. Hopefully, I won't be requiring another root canal soon, however I won't hesitate to choose Dr. Wells in the event that I do need this done. I highly recommend his services to anybody who needs root canal work done. more

As soon as I walked in, I knew I had a good referral. The staff greeted me with friendly smiles. After one of the staff took my picture, I was examined by Dr Wells. After a thorough exam, he did my root canal and prescribed a low cost antibiotic for my infection. I am glad that he did not prescribe expensive antibiotics since I am on a budget. The procedures were painless and pleasant. I enjoyed their conversations during the procedure even though I cannot converse with them. I had too many things in mouth to respond back. I would like to thank my primary dentist, Dr Persaud, for the referral, and also, I would like to thank Dr Wells and the staff for great services. more

Dr. Wells is a competent and caring endodontist. He is very compassionate as he deals with a very nervous patient population. He was recommended by my daughter's dentist and I am grateful to have been put in touch with him. While I never want to have to go back for any more care, I would not hesitate to chose him again for root canal work. His office staff was very caring, as well. He caters to your anxiety level with a massage chair, music of choice and an extremely clean office. more

I was referred to Dr. Wells by my dentist because we were having trouble locating which tooth was causing me pain. Dr. Wells was able to quickly identify the tooth and numbed it immediately. He took his time and made sure that I was completely numb and comfortable throughout the entire area before he would even consider beginning the procedure. I have a tendency to get real anxious, but not in this office. The chair had a back massager in it and the staff were always checking to make sure I was ok. I have to say that it is the best dental experience I have ever had. I wish he did more than just root canals, because I really would rather have a root canal in his office than any other dental procedures. The front office is spartan but don't let that discourage you! They are fast, friendly, and efficient. When you make an appointment they will send you a link via email so that the typical paperwork can be filled out at your leisure. When you arrive they will hand you a tablet PC to sign in and you're done! They have three ""work rooms"" and all are beautifully equipped with digital x-ray machines and overhead microscopes (for the dental work). Each room faces a large pond with a big window -- it's the mote pleasant work area I've been in! I spent my time waiting for the numbness to take effect by using their free wifi with my iPad so I could check email and get real work done -- very cool. Too often the time spent sitting in the chair is just wasted... Brian loves his work and will be happy to explain each part the process. I like knowing what the dentist is doing and he was happy to oblige. Overall a wonderful experience -- and I never thought I'd say that about a dentist visit!! more

I was referred to Dr. Wells by another dentist. What a great reccomendation! I went in to see Dr. Wells for a root canal with all the typical fears that come with that procedure. I found out quickly though how pain free the process can be. Dr. Wells was simply the best! I had two root canals with Dr. Wells within a couple months and both times were as easy as can be. Dr. Wells made me feel comfortable and made sure I was always pain free throughout the procedure. He explained the process step by step, reviewed the xrays and explained them to me in an easy to understand matter. They had the most high tech equipment and the place was spotless! The insurance paperwork went smoothly and they were always ready for me at our scheduled time. I had waited 10 years to go to the dentist. After seeing how smooth of an operation Dr. Wells was running, I now realize I had nothing to be afraid of! -Chris more

Dr Wells is the best! No pain root canals have never been my experience until I went to Dr Wells. I felt nothing during two root canals he did for me. Better than that I did a root canal on my 13 year old daughter who was sacred to death. He relaxed her by telling her everything he was going to and very personal. At the end of the procedure I think she was very surprised by how the whole experience was so easy. Being a single mother of 4 teenage daughters and having no dental insurance Dr Wells gave me a returning patient discount which helped out a lot. Thank you for how kind you are when people are so afraid. more

This was the first time I had to seek an endodontic dentist for a root canal and I was very nervous about the whole process. Dr. Well's made me feel as comfortable as possible during the entire procedure; I knew I was in the best of care. During the entire procedure I felt no pain. I know you never like having a root canal, but if you ever need this procedure Dr. Wells and his staff are awesome. They make you feel important the minute you walk in the door. Dr. Wells is very concerned about your comfort and making the procedure painless. He is very careful about not rushing and making sure everything is numb. His assistants are as concerned and work to make you very comfortable while you are in the chair. My family heartily recommends you visit Dr. Wells and staff for your dental emergencies and needs. more

For some reason, this site won't let me choose 5 stars but that is my choice for Dr. Wells. I had my root canal on April 25 and have had not one bit of trouble with it! This is a wonderful dentist/endodontist. He is gentle, compassionate, and patient. I am very sensitive to the anesthesia and he used the smallest amount of epinephrine (adrenaline) possible to make sure I had no pain. (They use that in the local to keep the numbing effect going longer.) I have a panic disorder and have to take a mild sedative before going to any dental appointment because of the medicine they use. He did offer to use the local that does not have the epinephrine, but was clear that I may feel some pain. He then took the time to convince me that the epinephrine effects, while not comfortable (rapid heart beat while having to sit still) would not hurt me in the small amount he would use. So ... I believed him and I survived! He whistles while he works, he describes anything and everything you want to hear. He takes the time needed to make you feel comfortable. AND ... he has the BEST VIBRATING CHAIRS!!! They vibrate in just the right spot between the sholder blades to lessen the horrible feeling of tension created by the epinephrine. Most people don't feel anything, but unfortunately, I do; and this dentist really cares. You feel it from the moment he walks into the room. THEN ... he took the time to call me himself to see if I was feeling okay a few hours later. How awesome is that?! Most doctors today hardly take the time to say hi and bye to you ... just shuttle people in and out like cattle. But not this one. I highly recommend him and if this crazy site would work right, I would have given him 5 stars. more

Honestly- who looks forward to a root canal? After 3 in this office by this wonderful doctor, I can say I do! Why? Because it will be done by a compassionate man and staff. I already respect the fact he was an athlete, AND went to Harvard. Add to that, he truly wants you to be comfortable under sort of un-comfortable circumstances... I had a root canal in the 80s which absolutely was almost as fun as licking a live electrical wire. What makes the procedure more bearable is his compassion and knowing he's been there. Great staff too!! Thanks a bunch for everything but i hope not to return for awhile :) more

I never thought I'd be recommending an endodontist to anyone...but Dr. Brian Wells is worth the mention! He and his staff are wonderful. They are totally professional but incredibly friendly and make you feel completely at ease. Dr. Wells' mission is to make all procedures painless for his patients. He did that during my 3 separate visits to his office for 3 root canals. I never felt a thing, was totally relaxed & completely comfortable the whole time...all due to Dr. Wells & his staff! more

In the past couple of months I've undergone treatment for crowns and a root canal. The Root Canal was hands down less painless than the prep for my crowns. That does not even make sense to me; however, it is true. I have no problem recommending Dr. Wells and his staff to anyone needing an endodontist. Dr. Wells is compassionate, makes sure you are comfortable before he begins any work, and is a perfectionist when it comes to his work. I've always had dental issues, its probably my only physical weakness, and because of it I've dealt with my fair share of dentist; and I have to honestly said that hands down, in 28 years of life, this has been my best experience at a dentist. The crazy thing is that I was there to take care of one of the worst things you can deal with... a root canal! From the word go, Dr. Wells was the most accommodating. He made me feel absolutely comfortable, and best of all, mentally at ease. When it came time to do the work, it was the smoothest thing ever!!! I don't know if we were there doing a root canal or ordering pizza... lol. Pizza would've probably been a bit more difficult to accomplish. To sum it all up, I'm not only looking for people to tell my story to and refer him, I'm even looking at other teeth I can get worked on... more

Everyone has heard the saying, ""this is about as fun as a root canal"". Well now it's true! Had to have two root canals done this week and I had a great experience. Dr. Wells and his team made sure I was COMPLETELY comfortable and understood the procedure before they did any work. They have earned my business for life. Do yourself a big favor and go see Wells Endodontics and start making your experience at the dentist a good one! more

The only bad part about visiting Dr. wells was trying to find it... It's located behind the Dunkin Donuts on Bruce B. Downs in Wesley Chapel. Although it took a little extra time to find, it was so worth it. Dr. Wells and his office staff were so considerate and nice to my chicken hearted daughter. She was terrified of her upcoming root canal. she had heard all the stories from her HS friends that it was going to hurt and be a bloody mess that she was crying when she sat down in the chair. Dr. Wells took extra time to talk to her, explained the whole procedure so she, a 14 year old, could understand it, and kept talking to her the whole way through. She was so relieved before he started and by the time it was over she was thanking him and telling him that it was nothing! Dr. Wells has all the latest equipment and took the time to explain each piece to me as he was doing the procedure. He allowed me to sit with my daughter throughout the procedure to make us both feel more comfortable. My daughter is my life and I felt like Dr. Wells made her his whole world at that moment. Thank you Dr. Wells, keep up the GREAT WORK! If you have the reason to have a root canal, I strongly urge you to use Dr. Wells. He is beyond awesome! more

for years i've known that i would eventually wind up needing to have root canal work, and have dreaded the thought. i was referred by my dentist to dr wells, and i could not have been more impressed or more pleased. the introductory paper work and medical history can be completely filled out online at your own convenience. the office staff is welcoming and seems eager to make the visit as comfortable as possible, and the physical layout of the office itself seems to be geared toward your comfort and relaxation. dr wells is clearly an accomplished person, both personally and professionally, yet he clearly is concerned that his patients understand exactly what is being done, why it is being done, and that you are comfortable while it is being done. and this brings me to my most important point, the level of discomfort is no different than the discomfort one feels while having a cavity filled, or having your teeth cleaned. while in the chair, i kept waiting for the hammer to fall, and it never did. minimal, at most, pain during the procedure and after. i took two motrin when i got home, and i probably did not even need them. i was able to return to work the evening of the procedure, and could have gone to work directly from the office if i had to. as a physician myself, i can say that dr wells' office is run as all of us in the medical or dental field should be running our practices, with efficiency, caring, compassion, and the highest level of professionalism. well done, thank you more

Root canals are supposed to be painful, right? \r Well, that's exactly what I was always told by friends, people I worked with, family, basically anyone that I mentioned ""dental appointment"" to. \r \r Haven't not had the joy of braces or fillings as a child, I had to rely on those horrid nightmares. I really want to know what dentist those people went to... because I had fun at the dentist's office!!! I was referred to Dr. Wells for some ""specialty work"" on a molar that was already in the process of a root canal. The basics: Dr. Wells was to remove the temporary filling, clean out the four roots of my number 3 molar (I'm not a dentist so I may call it the wrong thing), permanently fill the roots, and replace the temp filling for my dentist to finish the work on. \r \r Dr. Wells, and each person with whom I spoke, was nothing short of wonderful! Dr. Wells took the time to explain everything that he was doing, and why. And not in the technical way that some medical experts tend to explain things, but in a friendly manner with attentiveness to his patient. \r \r Let's also not forget the office layout... an open layout. I really enjoy that because as a patient, you aren't just sitting in a room waiting for the door to open and have your mouth drilled. During the periods of time that you have to sit and wait for the anesthetic to kick in, you know that Dr. Wells is just a few feet away, not off in another room down the hall. \r \r I absolutely, very highly recommend Dr. Wells for your next rool canal - it won't hurt a bit! more

There was a time when root canal work was synonimus with PAIN..a day of torture. Dr. Wells actually made this a pleasant experience. He took the time to discuss the whole process in clear terms so that I knew exactly what to expect. The process itself was totally pain free.\r The bird-feeder outside the window which faces a lush landscape attracts colorful birds and adds to the tranquility of the experience.\r Dr Wells and his staff are super.
