In ShortSalt marsh and tidal flats stretch out to meet the sea at Wellfleet Bay, one of the great estuaries in the Northeast, and one of the richest coastal environments imaginable. The sanctuary's 1,200 acres meander around the estuary where a varied population of birds, plants and marine life thrive.
