Amazing place for business or romance 12/28/2008

I found this charming B&B when looking for something other than the standard hotel for my business trips. After searching the internet, reading a multitude of reviews for this place and other local hotels and B&B's, I've now stayed here a total of 7 times--mostly for business but also with my husband. I've alternated between the three Jacuzzi Rooms and found each to be as charming as the next. I love the option of the in-room breakfast and this winter Leanne has added heated mattress pads to the beds---what a PLUS that is on cold winter nights. You don't find those at the hotels. There's a great selection of DVD's, wireless internet (as well as a PC onsite), snacks and soft drinks and one of my favorites--in room coffee service. Gardens are beautiful in the spring and summer and the atmosphere is truly a pleasure. I have recommended this place to anyone looking to stay in Cincinnati--and as a result of recommendations have been able to earn two free nights here. While I love my frequent flyer miles, their ""Frequent Stay Program"" is something you don't see at many bed and breakfasts. Pros: Quite, clean, breakfast selections, proximity to nightlife, friendly atmosphere Cons: Can't think of one! more

A Nice Weekend Getaway 12/1/2008

We stayed at the Weller Haus for one night on a Saturday, and it was overall a good experience. We arrived close to 6 pm, and being dark outside already, we had a little difficulty finding the entrance. Once we found the entrance, we were able to obtain our keys to our room. We booked the Margaret?s Porch Suite. This room has a double Jacuzzi tub, restored original hardwood floors, and is furnished with antiques from the early 1900s. The room was also connected to a common kitchen area that all guests can use. The refrigerator is stocked with complimentary sodas, and there are complimentary snacks as well. There is even a good selection of DVD movies and concerts you can take to your room to watch on the DVD players and flat screen TV. The neighborhood seemed pretty nice, and I?d feel safe walking around. You could easily walk to the Newport entertainment complex during nice weather. I felt as though my car was safe, and I could easily keep an eye on it from my room. The room was quiet, maybe a little too quiet for those of us who need some white noise. The only disappointment was that our Jacuzzi tub jets wouldn?t start the second time we went to use the tub. By this time it was too late in the night to call about it, but it wasn?t that big of a deal. I also felt that the bed mattress was very hard. For the price of the room, I felt it could have used much more comfortable mattresses. Overall a nice experience, give them a try! Pros: Antique furnishings, quiet, jacuzzi tub, complimentary snacks Cons: Hard mattress, pricey more
