I have had 3 surgeries at this hospital. 2 planned and 1 emergency. Emergency Room staff was efficient, friendly and caring. PreOp staff the same. Surgical nurses were awesome. Having gone through alot of outpatient therapy, the PT staff is the best part of this hospital. I can't say enough good things about them!!!
Now the ugly: After surgery, I have been on the 4th floor 3 times now. I can't tell you how awful it is.
1st time they overdosed me. If my neice had not been there, I would not be here today.
2nd time, they never offered to wash me, offer a toothbrush and once let me sit in my own waste for an hour. Only resolved because my daughter came and raised holy h---! Roommates family were experiencing the same issues.
This time, my nurse didn't even know what my meds were for, when asked. She and the head nurse were going at it. The worst part was that I was to receive a machine delivered to my home to keep my leg moving at all times. Very important to my recovery! After a week, I called the 4th floor case manager. She never returned my call but the very next morning the company that delivers these machines and was so apologetic. They had never been notified. He said, they told him the fax machine was broken. What a joke!!!! He said there would be no charge. I'm sure we know why. This was a very serious mistake.
NEVER go to this hospital without a friend or family member with you at all times. The only reason I have continued to go there is because I have an incredible Orthopedic doctor!
