Amazing to find a holistic psychiatrist who gives natural treatments instead of drugs. I read the review by ""Bob200911"" and it sounds like a misunderstanding - sounds like ""Bob"" does not understand how homeopathy works. Sometimes you do feel worse on the way to feeling better (not always) but if you do it means you're responding to the medicine and it will end up making you feel better if you just stick with it. Dr. Weintraub is one of the few homeopathic MDs in the Boston area and the only homeopathic psychiatrist. He is brilliant. It's unlikely a patient would know more from reading journals. Nice guy too. more

If my clients need a referral, I refer them to Dr. Richard Weintraub. He is not only of the most knowledgeable psychiatrists in the area, he is compassionate and patient. Funny, too. He is a real gem! more

He is really awful! I left after a few visits. He did not like anyone being involved in their own care, he told me, ""everyone thinks they know everything after looking at the internet,"" very dismissively. I told him I do much of my research from psychiatric journals (my wife is a nurse at a psychiatric hospital) and he did not care where my information came from, but he knew what was right for me regardless of how I felt. I told him I believed my side effects were getting worse, I was feeling much more depressed, but he never changed the medication or dose. I had to leave after my depression becoming near suicidal. His secretary is horrible, spends all her time on the phone (I would hear her on personal calls while I waited in her office to make an appt, she would ignore me for so long, so bloody rude!) I moved to the States a few years ago to be with my wife, had a hard time adjusting & began suffering from anxiety/depression. I never felt better with Dr. Weintraub, and felt disrespected by both him and his secretary. Trying to discuss any new medication seem to just annoy him, and he didn't seem to care I was feeling worse & worse. So terrible, would never recommend to anyone! more
