Weideman Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics

I wish they saw adult patients. We have seen a variety of dentists here and all the staff are experts at working with kids when they are at their worst--crying and scared. The staff allow a long adjustment period for kids and totally use the children's cues to determine how to proceed with examinations and treatments. They speak positively about what will happen, they explain things in terms children will understand--frankly, they have explained procedures to my kids and it has helped ME understand what is going on. There is beautiful sea life decor, a bubbly wall of water, kids movies, video games and a treasure chest of prizes. In December, they let kids take an ornament off the Christmas tree. This is a wonderful children's dentist.\r \r My oldest had to have a cavity filled and he was terrified, but when we left, he actually told me he had fun there. What a relief to find a place who can really treat children--they are always calm and respectful. I would highly recommend this provider. more

The billing department is top notch. Friendly, caring, dedicated ladies they are. Certainly pay raises are in order. Seriously, you should at least let them have a tip jar at the counter top for how incredibly awesome they are. more

My kids do not mind going to the dentist. The movies, the toys and the way the doctors and assistants speak to the kids make going to the dentist a manageable experience. more

My daughter loves to go to Weideman Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. She has gone there for many years and has had nothing but great experiences with all the doctors and staff. When she was young she had to have fillings and other treatment done and always left with a SMILE! When I asked her how it was she would tell me that "it tickled". I recommend this office to anyone who wants the BEST for their kids. more

My almost 3-year-old just went here for his first dental visit and we thought it was fantastic. He has autism and they were so good with him. When we stopped by a week before his visit, they gave him a tour, and gave us some of the latex gloves they use as well as one of the masks the hygenists wear so that we could get him used to them before he came. He LOVED the ocean theme and that really made him feel comfortable. PROS: fun office, gentle, understanding CONS: none so far! more

I have been taking my three kids to this office for over 4 years now. My children are still quite young-4,6 and 8, but they were much smaller when we started treatment. Their waiting room is entertaining with climbing figures and a TV. They have an underwater theme for the entire office. My kids get to play games in the back while waiting for their turn. This encourages them to go into the back without a parent. The front staff is always friendly and warm. We especially love "Dr Jeff" as he has done some work on my kids and they still want to return again and again. All of the hygenists are wonderful and they are loving with the kids. There is so much to love about this office. Most of all, I can see that it is well managed and maintained. more

A friendly staff and state of the art facilities make this the best pediatric dental office in the area. The waiting room includes a play structure and an oversized television that shows "kid friendly" programing. The interior waiting room includes multiple video games (the reason my son loves going to the dentist). The children are cared for in an open "bay", and so a premium is placed on keeping them comfortable and reassured. Downsides would be the sometimes long wait (when a child is having a difficult time, appointments behind him will be delayed) and the fact that they prefer that parents not accompany children during treatment. I have not found this to be an issue with my normally clingy children, but it might disturb some parents. more
