Inundated with wine 9/17/2011

Good: Good baked bread and cakes. Excellent produce and cheeses Seafood very expensive,but generally good quality and selection. Bad: When the store opened,it was roomy and uncluttered. Now every aisle and nook and cranny is filled with a wine display. The wine shop is only a few yards away. Why can't the wines remain there?. Improvements: Move the wines back to the liquor department. At the entrance of every checkout aisle why are there so many display stands making it nearly impossible to enter the checkout lanes.. Other: Shopping which used to be a pleasure is now a chore. I've limited my trips here.. more

Best grocery store bakery 8/16/2005

Superbly made-by-scratch cakes are always available at Wegmans, many themed for holidays. You can also call up and order one decorated to spec in any size, available quickly. While you are there, the breads are also wonderful. Get there at noon on a Saturday and take home a warm jalapeno cheese bread. They bake on a schedule so you can ask when the best time to come in for certain things just as they come out of the oven. more
