Wegmans is a drain on the wallet. The produce is like glimmering beautiful jewels and the cheese area is impressive. The store is good for walking laps if you are a cardiac patient, but wear padded shoes as the hard ground surface will wreck your feet. The convenience of the food bars are nice, you can get a quick bite, and have enough energy to make your way through the whole store at least once..stay away from the bulk candy bins though-I've seen little kids stick their hands in them..YUK. The bakery however, is a Gem in the Rough..people line up for the HOT cheese bread, and their assortment of french peasant breads is remarkable. While their donuts don't hold a candle to Price Chopper's..the specialty cakes are OUT of this WORLD!..(get the Vanilla pudding filled ones for the extra treat!)..Fruit tarts make amazing gifts for friends, and I guarentee you will make a bunch of kids happy with their assortment of "holiday cookies"..the bakery-is a HUGE PLUS for Wegmans..once you get over spending every dime you have, you'll be able to enjoy one of their baked goods and feel better...
