I was out shoping one day and decided to stop in and just look around. The woman working at the time was very nice and helpful. i orderd my dresses that day and was very happy. After about 4 to 5 months i finally got a call that the dresses were there.One of my girls dresses was to small and here shawl didnt match the color of the dress.Other girls were upset at how rude they were. when i went with my sister the same employee was working and was very nice and helpful. she got tons of dresses to me to try on. The last time i went i was with my sassy mother -inlaw soo not to meny issuses more

Amazing place with great selection 3/14/2010

This store was amazing! The selection of dresses was the best I have seen anywhere, and the prices were far less. The sales staff was personable and fun. I had a great time with all of them. I will never go to a chain again, there is no comparison. I can't believe all of the reviews I have read, it makes me wonder what the actual stories are. I worked with the people here for a year and there is not a rude person in the bunch. more

Made my Dreams Come True! 10/2/2009

Staff was exceptionally helpful in the planning of my wedding. My mother has passed away and I didn't have the usual support of family. These ladies became my family . They consulted with me in great detail and added very unique suggestions that made my wedding day absolutely perfect. You certainly would not get that kind of service shopping in a larger city to the North. Thanks ladies for the extra special touches that you added to create my Dream Wedding! Mans Opinion 6/3/2009

I've rented about 10 tuxedos from this place and never have had a problem or met a rude employee. Everyone has always bent over backwards to help me, and I've never been charge a late fee either...even though I have brought back tuxes late before. I am recently engaged myself, and will be getting my tuxedos for the wedding from the wedding center.My fiance on the other hand refuses to go there for her stuff because she says they are overpriced for the quality. Can't really comment on that. more

Wonderful Experience!!!!!! No Reason to go North!!! 3/27/2009

My entire experience with the Wedding Center has been wonderful! From the special attention they gave me from the moment I walked through the doors, to all of the help they have given my bridal party and our moms. \r \r I was in there a handful of times before I finally chose a dress (because I am not the best decision maker!) and they never got impatient with me! I ended up ordering my dress, my bridesmaid dresses, all of our tuxedos, our flower girl dresses, and the mother-of-the-bride and mother-of-the-groom dresses all there! \r \r Because the process of buying all of these dresses doesn't happen in just one trip, I would recommend to anyone to try the Wedding Center out. It is so convenient!! Plus the quality of the store and its dresses doesn't even compare to what David's Bridal and Eva's in Orland had. They have so many great designers, that I thought I would have to go up north to find, but I didn't! To those other stores, I was just another number, but to the Wedding Cent more

insulting! 2/28/2009

I was going to be a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding. I went in to the wedding center for my measurements. About a week later I found out I was pregnant. I went back to the shop to discuss dress sizes and alterations since I would be 6 months pregnant at the time of the wedding. The associate that "worked" with me asked to see the dress style that we'd picked out and asked what color the dresses would be-- burnt orange. (It was a fall wedding.) The associate looked at me and replied "Well you're going to be a big orange barn, aren't you!!!" I understand that she might have been joking, but please. a little more quoth next time. She continued to stand there and convince me that the dress would look terrible on a woman 6 months pregnant. I got a little emotional and I burst into tears and cancelled my role as a bridesmaid. To this day I still regret letting that old bitty insult me and talk me out of what should have been a great experience. more

Just Nasty! 2/24/2009

I ordered my matron of honor's dress from the Wedding Center with the help of one of their consultants. I asked if the dress came in different shades of ivory other than what I was shown. I was told no. Well when he dress came back, the top looked more like white than ivory. It was a 2 piece dress. I called the center and expressed my concerns and I was treated like crap!! I did not order my wedding dress from there because I had already found it at David's. The owner had the nerve to tell me that it was not her fault that I didn't get my dress from her shop to make sure it was a match so there was nothing that she could do. So needless to say I have not gone back and I have told others to stay away as well. It is a shame that because they are the only wedding shop in the area, that they feel like they have a right to treat people with such disrespect. I would drive as far as I have to to stay away from The Wedding Center. more

There is another place in town and she is a VERY NICE lady with quality dresses:\r \r mary Carol's Unique Weddings\r 360 School Street\r Chebanase, IL 60902\r 815-697-2721\r \r Check her out. \r \r I brought a dress from the Wedding Center before and they are not always nice. I was 6 months pregnant and had an event to attend. The lady said to me, "I will never do alterations on a dress for an expectant mother again, this is too much work!"\r \r Also, I have a friend that had a horrible experience with them and was very rude! more

The Wedding Center has all the great dresses at affordable prices. The service is excellent and the alterations are perfect. Very nice sales people who are willing to make you day perfect! more

I'll drive North instead 7/21/2008

I stopped in with a bridesmaid to look at a dress for her. We were greeted by one person who quickly walked away and didn't offer any help. We started to look through the dresses and found some that we liked but couldn't find anyone to get us a dressing room. Finally we walked to the back of the store where there were 3 clerks standing and talking to a customer. By talking I mean gossiping. I was told this was an issue there but no big deal since we will go up North to get better service. Also when we finally were done trying on the dresses someone finally asked me when my date was and if I wanted to look at bridal gowns. I told her not to worry I bought my gown in Orland Park and I will get my girls dresses there as well. I've told everyone I know including ALL my vendors not go there unless they want horrible service and their entire wedding information shared with all in the area. It's a shame most of them agreed. Not good when you're the only wedding salon in town. more

No wedding dress, nasty business owner 5/12/2008

Stay away from this Bridal Shop. No communication, lousy service and nasty owner. Will charge your credit card and leave you hanging. When calling about status of dress, was told "if you don't like it - go else were". more
