Wedding Authority

I got married there in April. I never got them to asnwer me except via email once I paid my non-refundable deposit, IF you could get them to respond. I became VERY frustrated many times prior to my wedding! I bought one of their packages, and wish I had not! Day of my wedding was okay, but I had very low expectations by then. After the wedding was a NIGHTMARE! It took me throwing a FIT to get my pictures from the photographer they made me use...who I found out after wards was out of business and they knew it 30 days prior to my wedding but never told me. The pictures were amateaur quality and that is being nice! The "photographer" it turns out is the daughter of Carla Young who owns the Wedding Authority and they both refuse to accept responsibility for their unethical business practices. Needless to say I am having to take them to court as we speak. They are HORRIBLE people and I would not doubt if the two reviews that are favorable were not paid actors. I gave them 1 star here because I have to, but they are worthless as far as I am concerned. Anyone interested in doing business with them can feel free to contact me for the full scoop. I just got married there this past weekend and found them great to deal with. We got married in the Amore Wedding Chapel right next door to them. The chapel is absolutely beautiful, and we used the courtyard for taking pictures and found it just perfect. The ceremony was better then I could have thought. Bill really had it down to an art. He was great to deal with and did a very impressive job. Even my parents-in-law were impressed, which is hard to do. I loved the idea of the sand ceremony. We planned our wedding/elopement at the Lightner Museum courtyard in St. Augustine through The Wedding Authority. We planned the event in about three weeks, but there wasn't much to do becuase it was just the two of us - no guests at all. I worked with Sandy, she was wonderful. Sandy explained the process to reserve the date and answered all my questions about what was included and what we'd need to provide on our own. She called me the day before to let me know about a potential issue - the City (which owns the museum and contracts with TWA to hold weddings in the courtyard) decided to install a new statue in the courtyard and had started construction in the courtyard - with no advance notice to TWA. She reassured me that we'd work around it, and it ended up causing only minor changes to our plans. I wrote a little more about this situation in my review of the Lightner Museum. Reverend Bill Young was great, he's obviously performed many ceremonies but still spoke every word from the heart. Everyone with TWA worked with our photographer and made the day really easy, relaxing, and fun for my new husband and I - exactly what we wanted when we made the decision to elope.
