We took our Volkswagen to Webster's Import Service about a year ago for the first and only time. They were able to diagnose the problem and fix it for about $900. Just over a year later, we started having trouble again, so we took the car in to our usual mechanic. He wasn't able to fix the problem so he sent the car to another shop. They realized that the work that Webster's did was just a band-aid for a bigger problem. When we called Webster's about a warranty, they informed us that it had been over a year (by less than two weeks) and that it wasn't their problem. They weren't even willing to cut us a deal on the repair work. Their attitude spoke volumes to their work ethic -- apparently it is well known among other car repair shops, but poor consumers like us didn't know their reputation!
