I am floored that these people are still in buisness 2/3/2011

My husband dropped off our snow blower here with an understanding of $15-30bucks for a replacement cable. I went to pick up the machine this week and new I was in trouble after hello. The owner, Frank, is a very nasty, rude and grouchy old man. He told me to speak up in a horrible tone after not being able to hear my last name and then proceeded to tell me I owed him $86 for the repair. I told him that was not at all what he quoted my husband. He informed me that they just fixed the cable (not a new one) and inflated a flat tire (we didn't have a flat on drop off nor did they call us to ask if we wanted it fixed) and then charged us $72 for one hour of labor. When I expressed my unhappiness he started yelling and told me to get out of his store and come back next week he was too busy. I informed him that I was not leaving and I wanted the labor removed from the bill. He walked away and went into his dirty little office. A younger individual came out and I explained my issues. He informed me that all he could do for me was to take the snow blower back deflate the tire and unhook the cable and I could walk away with no charge but i'd have to come back for that since they were so busy. In the mean time the owner came back to the front and I again tried to speak with him and in front of employees and customers told me that I was an idiot. To say I was shocked would be putting it mildly. My husband called to let him know how unhappy he was and Frank hung up on him. To anyone thinking of going there - beware. They are horrible. They don't give a crap about their customers and they are only looking to scam money. To charge us $85 and not even put a new cable on is insane. Of course we will NEVER go there again. more

I'll spend my money elsewhere for equipment. 1/20/2011

I purchased an expensive weed-whacker at this store, trying to give my business to local stores. The following summer I had trouble getting it started and brought it in for them to show me how to start it. He said it would cost me $89 for them to take a look at it. I told them I just needed them to show me if I was starting it correctly, he told me the same price. I brought it home and asked my next door neighbor, who showed me how to start it for free. I thought I would at least merit a quick minute to show me how to start the machine seeing that I bought it there, he was also rude. He won't get my money, the wall-eyed creep. more

3 Strikes and you're out. 1/21/2009

After 5 years of flawless use of my snowblower, the drive belt needed to be replaced. After having it in their shop three times, they accused me of pushing the machine too hard, burning it out, and that it was a low-end snow blower. The last time they 'fixed' it, they returned it to me in worst mechanical shape than it had ever been. They insisted it was in perfect shape when they returned it to me. I told them to return the snow blower to me, and he said it would be $50. I ended up paying it to get my snow blower back, but it will cost me a lot now at another dealer to fix the problems they refused to admit were theirs to fix. I even asked if this is how they treat a new customer, and the guy argued with me that after having my snow blower in his shop three times, that I am no longer a new customer. He's got that right....I'm not a new customer anymore, I'm a former customer. more
