I had my windows tinted on my Scion XB and they did a wonderful job. The service was fast, the staff was friendly and helpful, prices were very reasonable and the tint looks great! I was extremely happy with the job they did. more

Superb Service!!! 12/22/2010

I had a Viper 5701 (Security & Remote Starter) previously installed by another company and it stopped responding to our keychain remotes. The other company said they couldn't check it out without a fee because they were under new management. Oh really?! Well I decided to take my business to Waxwerks and I'm glad I did! We hadn't used the remotes in a while because we'd lost the battery covers. They checked out the problem with the remotes and explained that the system just needed to be reset. I was already tired of dealing with the electric tape we'd been using in place of the battery covers and the cost of replacing the remotes was more than the Viper SmartStart Module that was compatible with my current system. I had it installed two days later. Dropped it off, walked down the street for lunch and barely had time to finish because it only took them 45 minutes! It works great and my wife loves her early Christmas gift! I will be returning to Waxwerks, count on it! more

excellent service 12/15/2010

We had our windows tinted and had a viper remote system installed. The staff was very professional and confident of the products they offered. All options were explained knowledgeably to us. We were able to get our vehicle in around our schedule and they were so prompt in delivery. They carried the products in stock so we did not have to wait like the other stores we had checked with. We will be most likely returning with our other 2-3 autos needing a variety of products or services that they offer! Thank you and don't hesitate to do business with Waxwerks..Convenient location as well! more

If you make a mistake FIX IT! 9/13/2010

Day1:They killed my car when working on it. Day3:They sent it to a garage that said my engine was froze up. Waxwerks said that there was nothing they could do if the issue were mechanical. Day4:I towed it to a dealership. Day5:They said my ECM was fried and that whomever looked at it last didn't put back the spring in my ignition coil... The engine is fine. The dealership said it would cost $1500.00 to fix.I called and told waxwerks. They said they would call me back to let me know how they were going to take care of this. Day6:No word yet. Day7:Still nothing so I call. They will get back to me later that day or at the latest in two days. Day8. Day9: I call them cause the dealer wants me to get the car off their property if I am not going to have them fix it. I call waxwerks and they still don't have an answer for me. They will call me the next morning. I tell them that if I don't hear anything I will have the dealership do it and send them the bill. Day10: Nothing yet... I don't have more

Great service at a great price 4/10/2009

I had my windows tinted and a detail on my Grand Prix at Waxwerks and I didn't have any problems at all. I dropped it off first thing in the morning (on a Saturday) and received a call by 2pm telling me the car was ready. \r \r My car was pretty dirty and it looked like a different car when I picked it up. The store was very clean, the prices fair and the staff was very helpful. It didn't seem like the same place the other reviews on here were talking about. \r \r Make up your own mind on this place. But, I didn't have the same experience other people here talk about. more

Awful at Best 12/3/2008

To make a long story short I went in three times to get a sub put in. They installed it partially but said they couldn't find keys to pull the Audi stereo out to finish.\r \r On the third time they said, just go to Audi and have them pull it out then bring it back and they'd connect the last parts. They also said because of the hassle I only had to pay half.\r \r I did what they said brought it back (4th time) and then they made me pay in full after a LONG argument.\r \r As I drove away I realized they f-d up the installation and connected the stereo wires to power wires (an industry no no, but common if a place just wants to half a-s the job and get it done fast).\r \r I now have engine feedback running through my speakers but refuse to go back to those jerks. more

They did an excellent job on my windows. I tinted my 2005 honda civic there about 3 months ago. They over charged me 20.00. When i realized it at home they said they would mail me a check for 20.00 cause they made a mistake and was sorry. Like i said its been 3 months and they keep saying they will send me my money but still nothing. I live on the southside so i cant just drive up and get it but next time im on the northside im going in. Other then this it was a great experience but think the man pocketed my extra 20.00 so be careful. Pros: Great work & reasonable prices Cons: Horrible customer service more

Excellant same day service on window tinting 6/2/2008

I have been using this place to have window tint put on all my cars. I just had my 2005 Honda Accords windows tinted they came out with a small water bubble in the back window on inspection before I paid. I went in paid for the work came back out and they the bubble worked out gave me my warranty and I was off after they gave me the do's and don'ts . This is the third vehicle I have taken to wax werks to have tint done on it all have been painless and all were top quality work. I drove all the way from Monrovia to the NE side to let these guys do the tint cause they do top notch work and once again I am completely satisfied customer . Thank you Wax Werks I will be back with my 4th car for sure. Pros: Price was high but so was quality of work more

Warning, think again before you visit these guys! 3/22/2008

My cousin and I took his car in to have a sun roof installed. He told these guys not to leave it outside after dark! 3 days later when we went to pick the car up, he was charged for the remainder of the sunroof job ($1,000) and then the manager threw him the keys and told us the car was behind the shop (instead of showing us the car in person). When we went behind the store we found that his car had been stolen. I think they probly left the car outside and didnt want to tell us before they colllected the rest of they bill. They kinda blew both us off on this and when he asked for a refund on the balance paid on the sunroof, he was told to take any complaints up with HIS insurance company and that they were finished with there job. I had him report this to police. Avoid these jerks at all cost. more

HORRIFIC!! 9/11/2007

NOTE: The positive reviews of this company must be from relatives or employees, DO NOT BELIEVE.\r \r I chose Waxwerks for a windshield replacement, something that should've been a routine repair, right?? WRONG! After their first "attempt", I drove my car off the disgusting lot (which is also cramped and dangerous), and later in the day while driving in the rain, water started to come streaming in the drivers side A-Pillar right on my face, no joke. \r \r So I returned my car and they made their 2nd attempt, this time I noticed burn marks all over my headliner close the windshield. So I returned it once again and they "fixed" the burn marks (not very well). \r \r So thinking all is well, I give my car a bath and notice a black resin all over my roof next to the top of the windshield, and it won't come off. At this point I'm so enraged I just deal with the resin. But wait!!! That's not all!!! A week later my A-Pillar interior cover piece falls on my lap while I'm driving, and a year later my c more

Bad, Very Bad..... 9/5/2007

Bad, Very Bad Service. It took going back 3 times for them to finish my detail. First they didn't wipe down the door jams. then I noticed that night that the roof was not waxed. The Manager couldn't even take the time to talk to me. They gave me Mike's car was coupons for all my trouble. This place has NO customer service. Pros: none Cons: none more

Customer service leaves alot to be desired 6/24/2007

Took my car in to get windows tinted - appointment was 11:30, dropped car off at 10:30. Was told that job would take 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Office had my cell phone and pager numbers. At 1:30 ( 2 hours after appointment time ), went back over to check on car - Had not moved or been touched. When I asked about it, the front office worker checked with the back, and was told it would be another 2 hours. I asked for my key back, he got it, and no explaination or appology given. Their technical abilities may be good, but their customer service is horribly lacking. more

WAXWERKS AND AUDIO PLUS WAS A VISIT THAT I AM STILL ENJOYING AFTER A MONTH ! THEY DETAILED MY CAR LIKE NEW, AND PUT IN THE NEW ALPINE FLIP SCREEN, I LOVE IT ! THESE FOLKS WERE INSTRUMENTAL IN HELPING ME MAKE MY DECISION . THE BEST FOR MY VEHICLE AND MY NEEDS, NOT WHAT THEY WANTED. AVOID THIS DETAIL SHOP LIKE THE PLAGUE 1/15/2007

I walk into this place one day needing to get my girlfriends car detailed as a gift. They were priced higher than some other shops, but I was told "we do a better job"\r \r I tell them I was a detailer myself, for 5 years, and had even worked at a body shop wet sanding and buffing fresh paint jobs - so I knew my way around the industry, and expected a good job for the money they were charging. \r \r They yeah yeah me to death, take the keys, and I leave.\r \r I come back that evening with my girlfriend to a disaster.\r \r Firstly, the interior was very light tan leather, you could see they had sprayed a cleaner on the seats and door panels, but never so much as ran a towel over them from that point on, there were just clean streaks where the cleaner had been sprayed and flowed down the seats and door panels. \r \r None of the nooks and crannies were attended to, and the carpets were soaked, and looked virtually no different than they did when we dropped the vehicle off - and this is the good par more
