I heard about Waxing the City through a friend of mine. She said she sees Lisa and loves her. I was very nervous about getting a brazilian wax, because the last person who did this service, did a horrible job! But since my friend referred her, I decided to go. Lisa was very sweet, and professional. She made me feel very comfortable in the room. She was quick and thorough and I was very impressed! She has a client for life! I would recommend her to anyone! more

Too much trouble 5/31/2010

Any place that is this hard to get to should be able to wax. When I left, I still had hair and the hair grew back very fast. I am glad they did not want a tip. Maybe I just came on a bad day. Pros: the girl that did my service was nice Cons: lot's of trouble to find more

I went to Waxing the City for my first ever brazilian bikini wax. I did my research and Waxing the City had the best reviews so I decided to give it a try. I was so glad I did! The staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home. Alexandria did my waxing and she was absolutely wonderful. She was very nice and extremely professional- and before I knew it, it was over! Overall, it was a great experience and I will definitely recommend WTC to anyone who is looking for a great waxing place, no matter what treatment they are going for. One more thing- they also have a no tipping policy- even though I wanted to tip, I have to say it was nice to be able to save a bit of money that way! Pros: Professional, great environment, friendly staff! more

Excellent Service 7/22/2009

I have been to many studios both high end down to the run of the mill place. Their pricing is no more and maybe a little less than your standard place for a bikini wax, and about $20 less at your high end place. The rooms are relaxing with modern day music, and really it is the most painless wax I have ever had. I have been to places where they are so quick they bruise you. While I don't think the waxes last as long as they do at my former place, for the price you pay and no need to tip, its not a big deal to go every 4 instead of every 6. Pros: Great Price/Fast Service Cons: no receptionlist more

Great Waxing @ a Great Price! 6/30/2009

I found them in Colorado and am glad they're here in Dallas. Their pricing is really great for what you get and they're gentle/thorough. Plus they have awesome brow and skin products that work better than anything I've tried. I've previously tried Nordstrom Spa, Crescent Spa and Anastasia in LA. I'd highly recommend this very experienced team. Pros: Gentle to your skin & no tipping policy more

Did not live up to the hype 6/27/2009

This place has been so hyped coming to Dallas, so I was so excited to try it and wanted it so bad to be everything I hoped it to be but it definitly wasnt. First of all the prices are pretty dang expensive for the services you are getting, especially considering how little time they actually spend doing it! the brow wax was ok but I had to pluck a little bit when I got home. I would much rather go to a salon where I can get a facial or massage in addition to getting waxed instead of making a special trip to this place and over pay. If you really want to pay extra to go to a fancy "specialized" waxing salon go ahead, but overall, I was not satisfied Pros: clean Cons: cost, waxing results more

I will never dread having a bikini wax again. Usually they are painful, but this place was not. A friendly, and professional atmosphere. Plus, I love the pricing and no tipping policy. My place for a wax from now on! Pros: best bikini wax ever! more

Amazing place, the ladies here really know what they are doing. You will be very pleased with your wax here, experienced waxer or newbie. FYI: all prices include tips and the prices are incredibly reasonable, probably the most competitive in all of Dallas for that level of service and professionalism. Great New Spot! 3/2/2009

I went in after hunting for a waxing place in Dallas - I am always picky on these things. I was so pleasantly surprised! Clean and neat, VERY reasonably priced, wonderful service, and overall a good (moderately pain free) bikini wax. I will be using Wax in the City from now on & I hope that others do the same. Online reservations are super simple to use! Pros: Price, staff, online reservations, QUICK! I was in and out in under 30 minutes! Cons: Location can be difficult to find as it is in a suite inside a building rather than in a strip mall more

Totally worth it! 6/4/2008

Great place to start or end the night. Good service, the hostess seats you. Excellent bar snacks and a great variety of dinks. Not too expensive for being Trump, like I said I would recommend to start the night or end it here and just have a couple cocktails. Crowd was kinda older and touristy I imagine that it will get more local as the place catches on. Pros: the view, lots of different drink coices Cons: kinda pricey but worth it more

    The bar is mezzanine level, which is good news as walking through the lobby--all wood, marble and metal. Fawning hosts greet swanksters at the top of the stairs, offering choices: stools at the smallish bar, comfy chairs at intimate two-tops and loungier cocktail tables. Decor is too safe; tiny, framed pictures cover columns, a wall spotlights glass objects and carpet and lights come in muted tones. The curved wall of windows is a stunner, though, boasting decadent views of the river and Loop--an ideal backdrop for considered, possibly over-thought cocktails.
