Upon entering the store this morning at about 8:05 AM, I made a direct trip to the ATM located in the far right corner of the store. I made a withdrawal because I had ZERO dollars in my wallet.
The sum of money was dispensed to me in the form of seven twenty dollar bills.
I then walked over to dispense a 32 ounce iced coffee and walked to the left most register to make my purchase. JEAN rang up my coffee and the total came to $2.86, I placed a TWENTY dollar bill on the counter. JEAN then repeated "" Your total is 2.86, out of twenty....."" After she returned my change to me, I walked slightly left to deposit the 14 cents in coins into the nearly empty donation box on the counter. As I started to walk past the register towards the rear of the store to exit, I opened my hand to find 7.00 in my hand ( I dropped the 14 cents into the donation box). So I was shorted 10 Dollars by JEAN !!!!!!!!! I patiently waited my turn and politely plead my case, JEAN STATED THAT I GAVE HER A TEN DOLLAR BILL AND RUDELY DISMISSED ME WITHOUT A SECOND THOUGHT.
Its one thing to rip me off ten whole dollars that doesn't below to you, but its another to act as if its NOTHING. I understand its only 10 dollars, but I'm upset on principal, an employee of this Wawa robbed me this morning.... So what can I do ??... Tell someone ...Here I am...
The unfortunate thing is I frequent this store almost every morning and afternoon and I work at a local company right down the street. I will take every opportunity I can to express my displeasure with this Wawa location, to everyone I can. In addition, I will also see to it that my coworkers and I will frequent a different location just to avoid JEAN , so as to never receive the terrible service I received this morning.
Sure... I'm a little upset......but I think someone in my situation has a right to be. Its my hard earned money.
