I run a Hotel in Massachusetts and too often the only comments we get in our line of work are the negative ones. I wanted to take take a moment and compliment you and your team for a wonderful stay more

The management is very friendly & helpful in recommending activities & dining facilities close by for those occasions when you don't want to cook. It is convenient to everything and again, a great all around bargain !! more

We recently stumbled upon the Wave Rider at 1600 S Ocean Blvd. This quaint motel is just across the street from the beach., so it's much quieter than other motels on the Blvd., but we could still see the ocean from our window and walk across the street to the beach. A lot of the rooms have the most beatifully tiled floors, and it was so quiet at night! We could hear the partiers at a motel across the street since no one was on duty over there, but we didn't hear hardly a peep from anyone at the Wave Rider. A room of military guys started to get a little rowdy around midnight, but the man at the front desk quickly quieted them down, and we were able to sleep peacefully and woke up to one of the most beautiful sunrises over the ocean. We are planning another trip to Myrtle Beach in April, so we will be sure to make our reservations soon. Maybe we'll see you there! more

We enjoyed our stay at the Wave Rider.On a scale of 1-10 I would rate the motel a 10.Our family always stays at the Wave Rider.The service was great and our kids also enjoyed it.The pool was clean and very neat.We really loved our stay last weekend.We look forward to next year so we can visit you guys and the motel again. more

We were able to get away to Myrtle Beach for a weekend and we ended up staying at the Wave Rider. We checked rates across the street at an oceanfront hotel, and they wanted over $100 a night, but the rate at the Wave Rider was only $45 plus tax. It's a nice, small property, and it was very clean and quiet. Our room was on the first floor, and the floors were tiled, which was really nice. We could even see the ocean from our room's large windows. Granted it was a weekend in February, but we were just thrilled with the rate that we paid, and the room suited us just fine. We just walked across the street to get to the beach. Broadway at the Beach is just a 10 minute drive away. There are TONS of restaurants close by, several within walking distance. We felt very safe. The parking lot is well lit and clean. We even hear that they will soon have wireless internet at the Wave Rider. We'll be sure to stop here again as soon as we can get back to Myrtle Beach. more

I have been coming to the Wave Rider for 10 years and it is better now than in the past,was told they have all new people working.Sylvia at the front desk was so nice and Auther in laundry even helped with our luggage.We had an double efficiency room and we got maid service every other day. Keep up the good work Wave Rider and hope to see you next year. more

Our family of 5 from the Columbia,SC area stayed here and will go here from now on. The room had everything we needed, extra towels, dishes, linens, coffee pot, kitchenette, and was absolutely spotless. It has a nostalgic feel with the palm trees and the original sign, the pool was perfectly clean, the owners were friendly, decent and had a nice family. We sat on the sundeck and watched fireworks from rocking chairs under a palm tree. The beach is maybe a half block, and Family Kingdom amusement park is just down the road. Our kids loved staying here, and we would recommend this place to anyone with families. This motel is a real memory maker without spending alot of money. Great water pressure in the shower too, after spending all day running around at the beach. From now on when we go the 2 hour drive, and we do often; we will stay here. We love it. The WAVERIDER Is so much fun. Close to everything and my kids loved it . They have 3 pools and one is made just for the little ones , maybe a ft deep. We have stayed there 3 times and never had a problem. Just plain out the best hotel for a little bit of money! We enjoyed it so much that we refuse to stay any where but there. Well I hope that I have madeyour mind want to stay there and give it a try! Have fun and God bless! more

We couldn't have asked for a nicer staff and the General Manger was awesome. The rooms were exactly what we paid for a place to sleep and clean up. Very clean and quiet. The pool was excellent not too many hotels have a nicer pool. Half the price of the hotels on the beach and I could see the beach from my room. We rode down on motorcycles and the staff treated us like we were royalty. If you don't want to spend a lot of money but want a clean place to stay close to the beach I highly recommend you stay there! more

My family and I spent 3 days 4 nights here and from the time I called and made the reservations and spoke with Sylvia things were made easy for me. Our room was clean and so were the sheets and it was already cool from the air conditioner when we got in the room. As for it being old yes it is but so is most of the others around it. It's the beach look at the weather and traffic they have! The manager Greg was very nice and helpful. Like I said if it's money saving you want it's a fine place and if something happens to be wrong just ask them to fix it.....They don't know to you tell them! more
