Our Approach Our approach is to take time with each patient in order to identify and meet their physical and emotional health care needs. We believe that listening to our patients is critical in assisting them to heal and ultimately reach their highest potential. Our theoretical framework is based on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs which we utilize in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Maslow’s Hierarchy encourages individuals to first meet their basic needs, to then meet love, belonging, and security needs and then to rise to self-actualization and attain the highest quality of life for each individual. In addition, we implement the theoretical framework of Hildegard Peplau. Hildegard E. Peplau was an American nurse and the first published nursing theorist since Florence Nightingale and created the middle-range nursing theory of interpersonal relations, which helped to revolutionize the scholarly work of nurses. We are a Christian clinic and believe that God is the ultimate Healer, Teacher, Counselor and is the One who meets all of our needs and enables us to care for each of our patients and the community at large.
