Dont stay here!! We ended up with roaches and bed bugs. They sprayed over and over but the roaches kept coming back. They are really hard to get rid of. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! If you want bed bugs and roaches then stay here. We had to throw away all of our belongings. Its been so hard emotionally because I have never had bed bugs or roaches before. I don't think the managers care either. The rent is cheap for a reason, we picked up our stuff and left. We can't live like this, its just ridiculous. We talked with our neighbors and they also had bed bugs and roaches. They had children! Thats terrible and sad. I don't think anyone should have to live like this. What they need to do is tear these apartments down, every building seems to be infected. Run and don't look back at this apartment!!!!! more

SLUMLORD !!!! Horrible, we moved in here last minute, and they want to charge $650 for a one bedroom that has old windows that blow in cold air, THERE ARE GERMAN COCKROACHES AND BEDBUGS THAT they HAVE HAD FOR YEARS! and they wont get rid of them, you have to make a request to get sprayed, but it usually takes 3 times for it to remotely do anything about the bedbugs, and the roaches just go and hide in the next apartment till the fumes are gone. (you have to do a entire apartment for them to all die.) Oh and if the pest guy comes and you are not home they fine you, even if you were in the hospital. If your 1 cent off from rent they will keep charging you late fee's till its a 1,000., and than kick you out if you can not pay it BEFORE 30 days. (has happened to a lot of the neighbors around me) They want a $350 animal deposit and $25 additional a month, but nothing in here is worth that much. paper thin walls. And the cops are here all the time. And if someones fighting watch out they might come to your apartment with the excuse of possible domestic violence when its your neighbor. Somebody was SHOT outside the apartments in a DRIVE-BY. I could go on and on, just go talk to some of the people living there (make sure you speak spanish, cause maintenance will pretend they dont speak english) This place is falling apart, they keep covering it up with ghetto remodeling, but as you walk through the halls, kitchen and living room there are a lot of sunk in spots. They need to BULLDOZE this place and start over with new management. THERE ARE OTHER APARTMENTS OUT THERE that DONT have all these problems FOR THE SAME PRICE OR CHEAPER. KEEP LOOKING!!!! DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE OUTSIDE AND THE PICTURES. There is a reason they have specials on the security deposits all the time. more

my friend and i were interersted at first and asked about bedbug issues and they said they didnt have any....i then looked at some reviews online which said different so Upon physical inspection of the apartment we found it to be uninhabitable due to pest infestation. We were told that the problem is, in factan issue(after one of thier guys said it wasnt!), they are so infested with roaches and bed bugs. Anyway my roomate and i decided we were not going to take the apartment, but they kept our deposit! we didnt even move in. dont let the move in special get you more

I recently read reviews for The Village at Coronado and i had to put my two cents in.I do not know why there are negative reviews on this place. The apartments are always clean and the office staff is always friendly. I have read reviews about roaches and bed bugs. My husband and I have lived here for two years and have NEVER had an issue with this nor have we heard of this from any of our neighbors. As far as the actual apartment goes, it is a comfortable and nice layout. I love the floors and the kitchen appliances are in great condition. The complex is across the street from a fantastic park that is perfect for summer bbqs and get togethers with friends and family.
