Water's Edge Spa

I have been to the Spa at Waters Edge Resort twice now and it is an experience to be savored. The first time my daughter and I both went, she for a manicure and pedicure, I for a facial and body scrub. It was divine. I am so relaxed when it is over I can barely walk. My husband gave me a gift certificate for Christmas to the spa so when we were there in march I went for a different body scrub and I loved it just as much. Your skin comes out sooo soft and it is so relaxing. If you haven't ever tried it , I highly recommend it. It is really nice to get pampered. more

I was recently treated to a swedish massage at the Waters Edge Spa and resort. It is absolutely beautiful there, very classy and ritzy. Having never had a massage before I was a bit hesitant, especially to have a massage by a man (other than my husband). (You have a choice of male or female). Anyway, it was absolute heaven. I loved it. You have a choice of how long you want the massage to be, mine was 50 minutes. I was so relaxed that I thought I was going melt into the table. Everything was top notch. The staff was sweet and made me feel very special. The accomodations were clean and relaxing. Their prices are very reasonable for the services that you get. The Spa is beautiful and in a gorgeous location at the Water's Edge Resort. However, I felt that the manicure/pedicure (rose petal) was not worth the $. It took a very, very long time and while the manicurist was friendly and pleasant, she didn't really use a lot of "elbow grease" to smooth my feet. The polish was smeared and it didn't look like a professional had done it. To be fair, it does depend on the person performing the service, so maybe I was unlucky; needless to say, there are other salons and spas that I do enjoy more and would recommend. more
