Eating at the WCH was a horrific experience. First off, since we were a party of 10 and because the service was included in the bill, it was abominable. Why? Well, it took 15 minutes for the waiter to come by and take our drink order, then another 10 minutes to bring our drinks, and then another 1520 minutes to take our dinner order, and when he finally did he was unpleasant. He huffed and puffed when asked what the side dishes were and when asked to repeat himself, he grimaced as if it pained him to open his mouth.\r
For the appetizer we ordered the calamari and it was really gross. It was chewy and flavorless and it tasted like a shoe. In-between the first course and the main course our waiter did not come by once to ask us how we were doing or to refill our drinks. So 20 minutes later, our main courses came and they were EXTREMELY unsatisfying. The surf n turf that my girlfriend ordered was an unsightly scene. The lobsters were paltry in size (about the size of a medium sized shrimp) and had absolutely no flavor, they could have been frozen for years for all I know, and the filet mignon was totally flavorless. The crab cakes were a better lot but not by much. My sisters $50 dollar lobster tail looked much healthier but when nibbled on; it too was bland and gummy. Come to think of it, everyone thought their food was just bad. The side dishes were just as bad. Mostly everyone at the table ordered the fried zucchini, which came with a splattered on marinara sauce and had no flavor other than grease. I ordered the onion rings which I was told were freshly battered and prepared, but which came out burnt and seemed more akin to those one would get a White Castle. Uggg! \r
So the bill came to $340 which is quite cheap for 10 people. We would have had a better dining experience at McDonalds! How can a restaurant serve such bad food? \r
It was the most UNPLEASANT restaurant experience I have ever had. Please, stay away!
