DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!! I own a business down/across the street and needed housing for an employee coming in from out of town. I rented with a corporate account. The apartments are a little run down and old looking, but we could not beat the location. My new employee could walk across the street to go to work. He did not even get fully moved in when he got transferred to another state. I was forced to end the 6 month lease early. They did everything in their power to not let me break the lease even though I understand how this works and agreed to pay all the early cancellation fees. Every time I called, they were busy, every time I stopped in, they were out. You could only turn keys into one person, and they are never there. The person, and only person, who could handle the lease termination was on vacation, etc. Excuse after excuse. The tenant had long moved out and I was still paying all the rent and bills for an empty apartment. Finally, I took time off work and waited in their office until someone would help me. I brought a blank check and was ready to pay the cancellation fee in full. It was over 2 months rent to break early, but I understand…rules are rules. Before I wrote the check, I asked if it was the complete and final amount. They said yes, I wrote ""final bill"" on the front and back of the check. They cashed it: I have the image printed out where they endorsed it, my account shows that it was cashed. So they accepted the check, cashed it, have the keys and still continue to try and collect rent and fees from me. I am being harassed by them almost daily. It is now March, that apartment was vacated and paid for in full last July. This is a never ending nightmare. It is now cheaper for me to get employees housing farther away and also give them a car. It is like the Hotel California.
