I live in the country where people have to take their trash to the dump. I don't want to transport stinky, nasty garbage in my car & the dump is only open certain days/hours. After enduring the ""dump run"" ritual for years I decided to get trash pick-up. We have been with Waste Industries for almost 15 years and have had great, reliable service. Rarely if they do miss our pick-up, I call & it is picked-up promptly. The cost is well worth me not having to deal with the weekly ""dump run"". more

My local trash provider was bought out by Waste Industries about a year ago. Since this buyout occurred, I have had numerous issues. First, the pick-up schedule was changed. This would have been OK, except that even with a route change there have been several occasions where my trash was not picked up at all. The first couple of times that this happened, I called the office and they sent a truck out to pick it up eventually. After that, in addition to contacting the local office, I started to post feedback on the corporate website to make them aware. No one has returned my correspondence. Even after multiple times of this happening, the local office wasn't willing to give me a solution to the issue or even give me a credit on my bill. So, it happened again this week and that's why I am here writing this: If you have another option choose a local company that will value you as a customer. This company is owned by Goldman Sachs and Macquarie, and I just expected more. more
