Tired of ""cookie cutter"" hotels? Not the hip and trendy type? Stay at the Melrose and you will experiance the best service in town. My wife and I stayed there on our 10th anniversary and the Melrose staff made this event truely special. They even sent a personalised amenity to our room after the restaurant server noted the occasion. The doorman and front desk staff always greeted us by name, a rare treat in todays hotel enviroment. We enjoyed the daily lemonade in the lobby at checkin (watermelon), and all the personal touches. We had drinks at the Mansion on Turtle Creek (two blocks away) but enjoyed the Library Bars nightly live entertainment.We will be back....
