Warren House Pub

We ate at the Warren House Pub a few weeks ago when we were looking for somewhere to eat in Cannon Beach with our puppy. The waitress there was really accommodating of us wanting to eat outside even in the dead of January. I got a burger, which was good but not terrific. The house brewed root beer was superb. I would not recommend the house pea salad if you are not a big onion fan. more

A little more upscale than Bill's (owned by the same people) with the same good food, good beer and friendly service. Right near the beach at Tolovanna more

This is a great little pub right next to my favorite inn at Cannon Beach. The place is a local hangout with great prices and great beer. The pool table makes the back door a popular hang-out. more

We went there with a party of 20 and they were completely able to accommodate and please every one of us. The food was amazing and the prices were very reasonable. more

I was astounded at the other two reviews (both posted over a year ago on the same date--hmmm!?). The Warren House is one of our favorite restaurants on the coast, and we always go there at least twice on every trip to either Cannon Beach or Manzanita. Avoid this place -- it is cute from the outside but mostly run (or run down) by very rude and unprofessional staff who seem to think they are doing you a favor to take your order and bring your food. They have a nice area out back with gorgeous flowers but they do not serve you out there, you have to go in to order. When you do go in to order, they seem extremely irritated that you have the nerve to sit out there. Maybe they don't usually get tips from people out there but my wife and I have always left good tips and feel that if they don't want people out there, they should close it. Once while back there we were offered smoked shrimp from a man who was experimenting outside the kitchen on a deck -- this was really nice but our service was bad then and was so bad over this past weekend that we won't go back again. When we go out to eat we don't like to feel like we are inconveniencing staff. Too bad because it is right next door from the hotel where we always stay and across the street from the beach we like to go to. My wife loves the flowers. My wife and I (we are both over 65) went in and were completely ignored for about 15 minutes before being seated by an unfriendly woman. There were two other tables in the whole restaurant and the two staff members we could see were standing around talking. We were not given water or menus for another 10 minutes. My wife got up and asked for menus and was told that they would be brought as soon as staff is able. The two staff members continued to talk for another 5-10 minutes. I finally got up and asked for menus and water and was informed very rudely, ""I TOLD you we will get to you as soon as possible"" I asked for the manager and the woman identified herself as such and we then decided to leave.
